Same guy that reported this....reported that

Voth reported yesterday that Shula said teams would catch-up and adjust to what they did last year.  Shula lobbied internally hard for a 2nd receiving TE to switch up the O.

Dave then drafted a backup DT and went on a panic DB run and didn't nothing in FA

just one of about 100 things that point to Dave

I don't agree with you in general on this topic but one sad thing is...he went on a Triple CB run last draft and THIS draft has numerous 6'1" guys or taller with length that fit the JNO/Sherman mold....look at how many CBs are going in some of the early mock drafts not to mention just watch CFB and see those studs currently...could be as many as 6 corners taken in round1 this year.

Looks like Bradberry is going to be a stud but some of these guys this year are even better IMO and we certainly could be using Hunter Henry a poo ton more than our backup 1st round DT.

He really did botch last draft and this draft with an extra 3rd could be and should be great no excuse to fug this one up it's a good draft.

Is it Gettleman's fault that Turner played like a top 5 guard in '14 and '15 and then started to struggle this year?

It is his fault for not building a legit OL.

opponents always evolve and adjust how they play you when you stay the same...which is why the saying goes if you ain't getting better your getting worse.

teams are adjusting to the fact we only have select compentent lineman and not allowing the aid we gave last year

What are you judging our OL based on? This year? Last year? One game last year? When Oher, Norwell, Kalil, Turner and Remmers have been healthy they've been a very solid group, and now possibly replace Williams with Remmers. There are many successful offenses around the league with much worse o-lines than ours. The Chargers have the #2 offense in the league with a much worse offensive line and worse weapons around their QB. There are legitimate concerns with DG that I can understand but this OL argument is absolutely terrible. We easily have a top 10 OL when healthy and he built that without needing top 15 picks like most great OLs need.

I disagree that there are a lot of offenses with worse OLs than ours currently

I definatley disagree we have a top 10 OL when healthy.  If you have a top 10 OL you don't lead the NFL in max protection.  It is the equivalent of saying you have a top 10 CB and you give him help every down so his WR doesn't burn him.   People gloss over the flat out comical help our OL got last year

Since you just quoted that from 3 days ago, and you've clearly been on here since then.  I will refrain from commenting on said question, until three days from now.  Thanks.

Max protection and constant having Olsen chip in to help out the pass rush should be a clear indication of a needed upgrade, you can't have your cake and eat it. Bitch about cam not having time so we go into max protection and have Olsen and our rb's help in blocking, bitch about a lack of a checked down and cam has 0.05 seconds to throw the ball......when you realize each adjustment made is causing more issues its time to find some better talent to eliminate that
