Gettlemen hasn't been on the job long enough.  He could be great.  But we thought Hurney was great too in a short window.  Gettlemen has some potential red flags on him.

I disagree, but I know you hate the guy so I understand why you say that. Im not one of the people that thinks he's perfect, but he's done enough good stuff where one down year shouldn't get him axed.  Hurney left him a ball of poo to deal with salary cap wise and all we've done is made the playoffs three years in a row

Sure it can.

2003-2005.  We went to 2 NFC Championship games in a 3 yr window and represented better in our Super Bowl loss. Postseason edges the regular season in my book.

That's a direct comparison between 2004 and 2014 (the "in-between seasons).

Neither was better.  NFCS simply sucked worse in 2014 more than anything.

2003 and 2005 IMO edges out 2013 and 2015.  The years above are a push

but you said it couldn't be debated and the start of Hurney's era is easily a time when it could debated.  Back when Hurney was deemed awesome.

It's like talking to a wall,  Scot. Let's fire Gettleman.  And then fire every single GM we pick from here on out when they have a bad season.  The team will never be poo that way, but at least the overreacting trolls will be happy

We were in the position from the get go due to personnel issues.......people forget WHY we ended up 7-8-1, the roster changes that offseason were a primary reason

You have to spin it to make that work (which is what I expected you'd do because you like to stir drama, but hey...)

Again, objectively, we had better overall records, three division titles vs one title and a wild card, records of 11-5, 7-9 and 11-5 vs records of 12-4, 7-8-1, and 15-easily the best season this team has ever seen and the fact that we got progressively better rather than peaking early.

I get that you like being a contrarian, but the idea that you can elevate 03-05 is pretty silly.
