James Bradberry - Legend in the Making

Let me know when he does this on a play that matters and impacts the game. They still scored a TD on that drive. This was a good play, but it is a FLASH. You do not make pro bowls and the hall of fame to become a legend with a FLASH every few games. He should not be starting this year, and he will take at least 3 seasons to develop. See Kony Ealy - who is clearly not a capable starter.

As for the press coverage, that was a clear out route. The receiver is suppose to keep him close and shield him from the play. If any CB gets beat badly on a clear out route, I would be very concerned.

When he becomes consistent and makes plays in pressure situations to end a drive or impact the game, then I will gladly acknowledge him as a legit starter. His run defense still sucks and he does not like to give up his body and hit ball carriers. He also needs to stop giving up 1st downs. He is consistent at that part of the game - giving up 1st downs.

We don't need you to acknowledge him as a starter.  No one cares about your opinion..  We all just laugh about it

Super solid. Love the way this kid wraps up and is an eager participant in run defense. Anybody still pouting about him missing one tackle early in the year probably thinks pass deflections only matter if it ends a drive/game.

Big time, heads up play by a rookie. I'm really excited for Bradberry. Would have loved to see him across from JNo this season but it is what it is on that.

You moved the goalposts - that breakup did make a difference in a pressure situation. You can't knock him and discount any good plays simply because the rest of the defense ended up giving up points. Also, if that jam WAS an out route then Bradberry succeeded 100% in taking his receiver out of the play. Can't ask for much more.

I'm not saying that he doesn't have a long, long way to go (he does) or that he's already at Norman level (he's not). You said to show you a play that makes a difference, and there it is.

Not to just be a dick, but this statement has a lot of truth to it.

Not sure anyone respects his opinion.

How can anyone respect his opinion?  He just flings poo till something sticks.  His first sentence is laughably ignorant, and makes it impossible to take anything he says seriously.  " Let me know when he does this on a play that matters and impacts the game."  Really?  The OP posted a video of the kid breaking up a sure TD.  Most people with a brain in their head, would consider that a play that matters, and impacts the game.  However, because NO scored on that drive, his TD saving play makes him a dud.  Doesn't matter that the play was away from him... dud... shouldn't be starting...

kind of like the people who would argue day and night that we won't know if cam is really a franchise quarterback until he has a walk-off game winning touchdown to win 49-48 in blizzard conditions in the NFC championship game at lambeau or something similar

dude formed an opinion of bradberry the nanosecond he was drafted and anything and everything that happens from here on out is going to be from-fitted to his worldview.  it's dogmatic, and actually kind of funny considering the unrelenting criticism he levies at gettleman for his stubborn nature.
