WE HAD THE LEAD AFTER CAM THREW THE PICK 6. WE HAD THE DAMN BALL WITH LESS THAN A MINUTE TO GO.

If Cam doesn't throw the pick 6 we do not lose that game. If KB didn't fumble at the end, we still very well could've lost in OT. Cam's pick 6 was by far the worst play in the game and the one most contributing to our loss. Doesn't mean that the rest of the team's play in the second half didn't suck as well, but it was good enough earlier in the game that we would've held on if not for the pick 6. Love Cam all you want but that one's on him.

I think the biggest part of the equation that is not listed and drowned out in discussion by the "Shula and Gettleman suck" narrative over an over again is the turnover ratio. Going from first in the league last year at an unreal +20 differential to 25th in the league at a -5 is going to cause you to lose a lot more games.

2015 - 39 Takeways; 19 Giveaways

2016 YTD - 14 Takeways; 19 Giveaways.

Not getting turnovers and giving the ball away = losing most weeks. Players need to be held accountable for that as well.

Gettleman did a poor job of addressing the weaknesses on the roster.

I can't say I agree with this at all. What is one weakness on the roster that he could've realistically addressed and didn't? OT? Nope there were none. CB? Rookies look pretty damn intriguing and will be a great starting duo for years to come. Safety? Maybe though Tre has come on lately and had showed enough in '14 and '15 that it made sense to think he could step up into a starting role. DE? Has actually been a bright spot this year, wouldn't call that a weakness at all after the rotation change up.

Coaching, there is no reason why we shouldn't be 6-4 right now at least

Belichick could trade Brady and pickup Jimmy Clausen.  Just because the Browns beat them in a game Jimmy could of won doesn't therefore make the loss purely poor coaching.

The talent issue they created put them in that type battle to begin with

We easily could of built of that 2015 Super Bowl roster to not of been in the position to debate these plays in dispute.  People always talk about 1-2 plays.  Most outcomes are really decided by all the other plays.  A well built D for example smokes that Tampa team even with Anderson in.

Fine line between winning and losing in the NFL. Lose a bit too much talent and experience, and you dip down below .500. Couple of draft picks don't live up to what was expected of them, and that's enough for a losing season. Hard to pin it on any one main factor. Paying Norman might not have been enough to take this team to the playoffs, and he's not worth an insane Redskins contract imo.

You're either getting better or getting worse. The Falcons got better, and we got worse. Game set match in the NFCS.

The o-line has to be addressed next off season. Teams are blitzing us a lot more, and even when they're not Cam is still under way too much pressure. To compound the problem we have a deep vertical passing offense that requires good pass blocking, and Cam generally likes to hold the ball too long regardless. If that's how it's going to be for his career here then we'd be insane not to build an elite o-line. We'll have some high picks and money to spend, so the focus clearly needs to be o-line. No more pouring critical draft picks into the defense. We've spent a staggering crazy amount of money on Luke, and the defense has enough high picks to be decent. We need to fix our passing offense.

I can agree on the bad luck to a point.

But the reality is, with a better OL, we could have been in more advantageous situations where it didn't have to come down to sheer luck.

I mean, when two offensive linemen have to double team one guy, and somehow both manage to completely whiff, I can only hear so much about bad luck.

Hardly post anymore, however I felt the need to log in to submit my vote.  It's extremely obvious our biggest issue is our coaching specifically on Offense.  The complete LACK of adjustments after half time and the CONSTANT taking our foot off the gas when we are up is just unacceptable.

The sad thing is unless G-Man takes it upon himself without Ron stepping in and removes Mike Shula, we are stuck with this for the foreseeable future.
