The season is over. No one is winning the division with a losing record this year. The 2014 title was a once every 10-15 year fluke where everything fell a certain way. Even in that season, as this year, we were not winning a super bowl. IR him and hope he is ready (and willing) to come back full strength next season.

The maddeningly insane thing is it's really not.

The Cowboys are 8-1 and the Giants are 6-3. The Seahawks are 6-2-1 and the Cards are 4-4-1. Panthers 4-6, Falcons 6-4. All these teams are possibly 2 wins away from a 1st place tie and none of them have given up I'll guarantee you.

That being said Luke's health takes precedence over him ever seeing the field again. And unless the Drs agree he's healthy and Luke and his family want him to see the field again he shouldn't put on a helmet until that time.

It's become official. He's going to see a concussion specialist soon this week to see where and how he should proceed from here. Unlikely he'll be back for oakland, and Klein (if he's back from a concussion of his own) will have to fill his shoes. Otherwise, if Mayo is on the field, pray for the defesne

I was by the gate where the players walk in from the parking lot. I heard Klein say because it was a short week they sat him out and he should be good to go come Sunday.

By the time he will realistically be available to come back we will have a very clear idea of whether or not we have a postseason chance.  If we do then play him, if not then sit him.  No need to risk our best defensive player in order to finish 7-9 instead of 6-10.

We still got TD and Shaq but lost our brain. All is not lost but our DL is gonna have to ball out.

Luke is soooo smart!.. Brees said that in their 1st meeting Luke called out 1/3 of the NO plays. Being at the games I watch him make adjustments before the snap. Where he moves players is where the play goes most of the time.  If he is out you are right, it is not just is great physical play that the team will miss. He does not receive the credit he deserves for this part of his game.

PFF gives him his credit.  Stated he's the best player in the NFL.

^^^ I am SO glad he's going to see a specialist.  One who hopefully give him an honest assessment, free from potential team bias.

You assume the team would lie to him? This isn't the 70s NFL.
