They blew the lead but Ryan was a big part of that lead being blown. He also had a chance to lead a game winning drive to go to the SB and didn't pull it off keep in mind that he had Roddy, Julio & Tony. No excuses.

We'll have to agree to disagree. I like Ryan. I think he's perfectly capable of winning a super bowl. They were close in 2012, it didn't work. I've never thought Ryan was elite either. But he's good enough and I'll take good enough over rolling the dice on a new QB every season. They've been trying to rebuild a good team around him since 13 and it's starting to produce results. Defense is still pretty weak but has 4 rookie starters.

When does he not take ownership? The press conference thing is a non-factor. He always takes the loss as his own loss. Cam has faced the media more times than he hasn't. He hates to lose so you'll never catch him excited to speak about a loss. Not to mention the relationship he has with the media. He's always in a lose-lose situation with that. "Man up" is a low blow to me.

Dang I couldn't put the words together for that. Had the thought just couldn't type it. Very good post.

fair enough.I thought the Falcons were going to the SB that year, it was the slowing week ever waiting / hoping for a Falcons loss.

There are 16 losing QB's every Sunday and I'm sure all 16 of them don't feel like talking to the media. The majority of them have a different approach than Cam. That's the point I'm trying to make. I also think the way Cam approaches the media is a bigger factor than you think. It creates controversy, it gets the media to criticize him even MORE. That results in team distractions. It's definitely a factor

But everybody doesn't have to handle it the same way. I don't even expect that from a person like Cam. I mean, I don't handle losing in monopoly that great so I understand. The way Cam approaches the media isn't the problem, it's how they approach him and that includes local media. I highly doubt the team is distracted by his press conferences. People want him to be himself but fall in line. It doesn't work that way. I'm surprised he hasn't flipped off on the media or went Marshawn Lynch. The fact is, since college the narrative has been written. It doesn't matter if he smiled the entire PC after a loss, there will be an issue. The media doesn't like him and the feeling is mutual.

Colin has never and I mean never liked Cam, last season he had to swallow his pride and compliment him.

He named like 15 QBs he would take over him. Colin is so baised is not even funny

I actually listen to the Herd pretty often at work and last year Colin pretty was calling Newton the best QB in the NFL all year long. He still knocked on him about maturity but was pretty much praised him and Wilson all year

Oh absolutely he doesn't like the media. And he doesn't have to. But he's giving the media exactly what they want when he acts like that.

I've been listening to Colin for 4 or 5 years. He's been dogging Cam since his rookie season. He's a Luck/Brady homer who would make every excuse in the book for them. But would criticize Cam for the smallest things

Cowherd has run hot/cold on Cam for years, dating back to game 1 rookie season; he couldn't read a defense then OH he drops 400+ two games in a row.

Definition of a "Superstar" is a weak argument anyways. He's a superstar because people don't get up to piss when he's about to start a drive. He's a superstar because when they're on primetime TV, it's his face you see. He's a superstar because he's an MVP and set records.

Cowherd stopped being a radio superstar when he left ESPN. No one gives a rats ass about his show anymore.

CAM is unique but I think he is too slow on his reads and holding the damn ball too long when it should be a hand-off might be reasons he was being hand-cuffed.. and they let them loose and he srcews up on what he calls I dont know but I think he is great just needs to be coached every week
