My intital thought and I still feel like could be the case is that he took a good shot to the chin.

Getting clipped in the chin, even lightly can make you loopy and even turn your lights out. Getting knocked out doesn't mean you have a concussion despite what many may may think . (He obviously wasn't)

Just my theory, and what I'm hoping for.

I'm sure that's what it is. Just an interesting article.

Cam said he thought maybe it was his foot or knee. Ted said he thought Luke just had the wind knocked out of him. Watching, I thought it was a leg or foot. But I watched the replay today and I think a huddler mentioned it today, he looked like he was having a panic attack. I don't think the NFL would use a concussion to cover up something more serious because concussions haven't given them the best press.

He had a concussion. The author of the poorly done; braindead post was trying to say Collinsworth and them were covering up that he had a concussion by saying it was his leg. Author is trying to say that the NFL sanctioned not talking about concussions or something. But the guy at Barstool is such a bad writer like all writers, he fails to state this clearly. So you're all left confused.

Well clearly his reaction on the field is why it was overblown I think, and of course because he's the best player in the league. But I think Luke's reaction was that way because of the wind knocked out and the concussion combined, not because it was really that serious of a concussion. I meant "proper response" as in Luke being in the protocol for however long he'll be there, not that saying it was a concussion would be "proper."

Yes it was terrifying to watch live, I was legitimately scared for Luke. But I think and hope that he'll be fine in a matter of time, and probably not as long as people may think based on the reaction.

For me the overblown part comes from the multiple staring into the eyes of death and struggling to get oxygen comments I've seen.  That is just taking something to the extreme for who knows what reason. if that was the case the reaction by the medical staff would have been significantlying different. he was talking to them and their was no obvious reaction that would suggest a life threatening situation.

It looked bad for sure but those around him seemed concerned but not like a crisis.

Why would the NFL use a concussion for the cover up given all the bad press they've taken over concussions in recent years? Everyone assumed Luke had a leg injury at first. If they were gonna cover it up they already had a great cover up right there.

Right??? Luke obviously had a concussion. This isn't up for debate.

I have no doubt the NFL does some shady crap when it comes to refereeing and pushing games a certain way.  However, I don't see this.   The NFL did cover up CTE for years but at this point, I think getting busted for something like this would be a nail in the coffin for them with the coverage concussions are already getting.   I mean it's possible that some of Luke's concussions have went undocumented and who knows how many he got in college or HS, so maybe he DOES have really bad long term effects, but I don't the NFL would cover it up.    I think the medical staff was just as confused as him with what was going on, so they brought out the cart because it looked like a leg injury initially.

Thinking about it, most concussions that happen, we don't really see the player's face that often.  They get him on the sideline and then take the helmet off so we got a look into what these guys deal with when this happens.   It's unsettling for sure.

Those are all concussion symptoms.

For sure, I just find it interesting how people will spin this and make theories. Especially with the whole concussion scandal and all. As I said earlier, in no way do I believe in this poo, I just thought it would be interesting to discuss.
