Kenneth Moore

Nobody really knows how good Jarrett is. When thrown to, he has been pretty decent. He lacks chances because of Muhammad, as both are possession receivers.

The fact that Moore was cut by an awful Lions team in his rookie year and couldnt get off of Carolina's practice squad for the remainder is pretty telling, though.

That doesn't tell anything. Detroit may have been awful last year, but the one area they were strong in was wide receivers. In the last 5 drafts, they have spent 3 number one picks on wide receivers, including Roy Williams and Calvin Johnson.

Remember the preseason game when Smith and Moose didn't play? Of course you don't. Because Jarrett didn't do a damn thing as the #1.

Moore showed us something this preseason, which is more than Jarrett has shown anyone since entering the NFL.

He had his chance to prove why he should be the #3 in the preseason. All he proved was that he's not an NFL worthy receiver and the only reason he's still playing is because of John Fox.

Jarrett proved it last year in real action. He has only been thrown to once this year....

I'm sure that's 100% not his fault either. Whatever, you're the same apologists for Keary Colbert, Drew Carter, Eric Shelton, DeShaun Foster, etc. There's no getting around to you guys until the player's been cut for 5 years and you jump in on the lulz/hatewagon with everyone else.

I'm not saying that part of it isn't on Jarrett.....but Jake isn't going to hit the #3 unless WIDE open.

Colbert sucked. He was given the chance repeatedly to prove it. They threw to him. Jarrett proved last year when you take a chance on him he has some of the better hands. You are lumping Jarrett into a group of guys that were given legit reps to prove there worth.....Jarrett has gotten few reps and when they do give him a shot he has made the catch.

It actually says alot. They drafted another WR this year and signed 2 FA wide receivers. Williams didnt even play half the season with the Lions last year. So, yea.

i think we misuse jarrett. he is not going to burn any db in this league but he could bully alot of the smaller ones. throw him jump balls, some slants throw to him in the endzone. i think alot of the problems is that jake waits for recievers to come uncovered then he throws the ball. also as a team we rank in the bottom of the league in pass attempts, even if he is a bust and moore would get in how much would he even be used?

Can someone please tell me why dwayne jarrett is still starting over Kenneth Moore? I haven't seen anything from jarrett and am starting to get a little confused on why we keep seeing jarrett getting chances after chances and not producing....

done rant...carry on

Because Fox won't pull an underachiever until he is worth ZERO in trade value.

at what point does it become that the panthers just suck at drafting and developing WR.

I think we are, for the most part, over the "panthers just suck at drafting" trend. The last 2 years, especially the '08 draft, we did upgrade a few positions compared to the past drafts of the Panthers. The development part could be the key and that definitely falls on the coaching staff.

One of the reasons why I want cowher as coach.. I think we all know that cowher can develop players the right way and make the most out of them.
