It all depends on how one values the future over the present. It's a personal decision. But brain injures are serious poo. Wouldn't blame him if he walked away.

I would have to hope that with this being his second one, he will, if he hasn't already, be gathering all the info he can. Then, depending on how he recoups, he will make the appropriate decision at that time.

To me, I think it comes down to how he recuperates from this one, and how he feels going through it. The easier it is on him, the more likely he is to come back. If it is a difficult recovery, he may have a tougher decision.

Either way, I will stand by whatever he decides. Me as a selfish fan, I want him back. But if he does decide he needs to walk away, I'll mess him.

I think Luke, being the ultimate athlete and player will give it one more go. And the man in him won't allow Thursday night to be his last showing on national TV. But if he gets another I think he is smart enough to walk away.

He is already nearing a hall of fame resume given his time span in the league. He will always be respected. Plus he's a millionaire and doesn't have to prove poo to anyone.
