Suppose this happens

General consensus right now is that we're out of it, and that does remain the most likely outcome. But suppose we win tonight and then next week the Cardinals beat the Falcons and we beat the Raiders in Oakland... How would you feel about our chances then? We'd be down one game going into Seattle with the Falcons going up against the Chiefs (probable loss for them).

This scenario isn't as unlikely as people think. We really shouldn't have much trouble winning tonight, despite our struggles this season. Then the Cards will have Mathieu back for the Falcons game which is a big boost for their D against the Falcons O and I really don't see how the Falcons can stop David Johnson or Fitz. Falcons could pull it out for sure but I think the Cards are a better team and will ultimately get the win, with the Falcons continuing their suckiness as the year goes on. At Oakland is certainly tough but they are honestly better on the road than at home, for whatever reason. Their o-line is amazing and Cooper, Carr and Crabtree are great but I think with Bradberry and Worley playing like they have been we can do enough to slow them down to low enough points for us to get enough for the win on their terrible defense.

So we could be a game behind the Falcons next week... How would you feel then? Of course tiebreakers would be tough to overcome with our poor division record so far and the Seattle game would be tough (but if we win it, there's our cracking of the red wall...) but I think at that point every fan would have to be pretty excited to be in it. We could definitely be set up for a Giants-like run in the playoffs if we could just get there. The KC loss was bad but they are a good football team and it came down to the most unlikely play to lose it by KB. Hope for the season is not lost fellas. Well, unless we lose tonight then goodnight Panthers and hello Fournette/Garrett (or other equivalent top prospect)...
