If Gettleman hired his own coach, would you trust he'll make the right decision?

I have been against firing Ron, but I'm starting to come around on the idea a little, especially if he doesn't send Shula packing.

For the first time that I can remember, I'm ready for an offensive minded head coach.  I feel that defensive HC's are typically better, but it's probably time for a change up in Charlotte.

Bring in the best offensive minded HC there is out there, try to keep McD if possible, if not, bring in the best 43 coach you can to keep this D a top unit, focus on the next ST hire....we have been bad at ST for a while now.

Sean and Drew pushed the Saints to a SB, Kubs and Wade Phillips just did the same....may be time for a shake up.

Doubt it , If anything we will get a new GM that will actually bring in talent to compete on a consistent basis.

Back to back winning season not getting beat by the same weakness in the playoffs aka OL, but all of you  FUPA lovers have selective memory.

I quoted you in another thread that you "forgot" to respond to.  I will copy and paste exactly what I asked of you....let's see if you ignore it again.

Exactly what, down to the detail, should DG have done about our offensive tackle position in the offseason?

I've admitted that Gettleman messed up this season, but I'm just not an over-reactive child

I still don't think that DG had a bad off season, certainly not a great one, but not nearly as terrible as many on this board are howling about.

The biggest "negatives" during the offseason were us not getting KK signed long term, and rescinding the tag/not resigning Norman.  One of those moves looks like it may pay out pretty well this year, and the other we will know in a year or two.

I too have been wanting an upgrade at the Tackle position, but so have about 26 teams in the NFL.....those dudes are hard to find, and even harder for the type offense we play.

I don't think it was terrible either.  Just think it wasn't the best.  But I'm not ready to crucify the guy like most of the people on here. I think this year has just been unfortunate

back to back 9-7 seasons missing the playoffs would qualify as "consistent" under that definition

i hope they're wearing safety gear while moving those goalposts.  the word used to be that it'd be a miracle if we contended for a super bowl with gettleidiot running this ship aground.

Sure but it's not going to happen. I think Dave would actually bring in a guy that knew he had to earn his place. Most of Daves career as GM has been fixing bad deals Hurney and Rivera created. At some point I hope he will find us a SB winning coach as well.
