The Question

Do you think we could benefit from  that system? I think Cams completion % in 2 seconds or less is sky high. Maybe in the future that could help us?

WCO? Probably not. We'd have to retool a number of positions.

More of an Earhardt-Perkins system though? Yeah.

Less read-option?  Hell yes!

LOL that article proved nothing, David Johnson whose not even the fastest RB on his own team clocked in second. Ginn is 31 years old, you are a delusional fan boy if you think he's even close to the fastest WR. Byrd is faster and Byrd probably is even top 10 in the NFL.

I think Cam problem with that is protection. Less than 3 seconds doesn't allow much finesse .

Unlike someone like Wilson or Rodgers, Cam isn't that great with passing plays if he's scrambling around. Therefore, we don't have the luxury of having poor protection because the bulk of the damage he can do is mainly on the ground. Eventually, that's going to erode and just the way I see things but if Cam hasn't improved his passing on the run by now, I doubt he ever will.

In other words, despite Cam's current ability to run, we must view him as a statue QB from a passing perspective and give him the requisite pass protection. We need Uglies that can do their jobs and somehow stay healthy. Kalil concerns me the most because a sense that age is starting to catch up to him.

Yep and David Johnson whose not even the fastest running back on his team clocked in second. One play doesn't mean squat.

When was the last time Ginn burned somebody? Even against SF those corners were on his back draped all over him. When was the last time Ginn took a punt return back?

Cam "throws guys open" fine. He's not the best, but it's a product of play calling and our receivers. Every now and then we'll have a crossing route that gives one of the speedsters some room to run, but half the time those passes go to one of our big guys that can't pull away like that. That's playcalling/design. All those slants that were actually working Sunday?  Most were going to KB or Funchess. The out routes (very little YAC opportunity)?  Ginn. Play calling and design.

In the preseason against Tennessee. Yes it was preseason, but it was also first string.  And speed is speed.  That being said, I wish he wasn't our punt returner cuz he doesn't return punts anymore
