Dickson is suppose to block inside out from the right side A gap. Dickson ran to a spot and Gradkowski was in his way. He stepped to the left side. He should have gone off the right hip of Gradkowski and doubled down on the DT in the right side A gap followed by a release to the LB.

Dickson did not follow his key and was unaware of where he needed to be. Gradkowski made it difficult, but it is still very lazy on Dickson's part. Dickson blocked no one because he went to the wrong gap.

Gradkowski gets most of the blame for being driven back into Dickson and then Tolbert.

 

but how many times do things like that occur?   That is the issue when you use an old and slow guy who can't run.  Unless things line up perfect for them they become sitting ducks.   You need RBs that are able to adapt and make plays...and that isn't Tolbert.  Stewart has things blown up on him almost every other snap.

I've always wondered about the lack of counter runs and stretches. Always seemed to be Stews bread and butter, that's where all those nasty stiff arms used to come from and although not the fastest guy he can bust a counter with the best of them.

I tend to agree with this. The left side was slant blocking and Norwell was looking to get to the next level. Trai had turned his man and was in position. Gradkowski did get pushed back but if Dickson hits that hole right before Tolbert he would clear a little traffic and maybe a tiny running lane. Enough for a few yards maybe.  

I did see Cam pointing, he very well could have been saying "why did Dickson hit that hole" ?

Hard to be certain, other than the fact that we're watching Tolberts last year here.

fuggin pathetic for a professional group of athletes - week after week of the same old crap and nothing changes - its coaches not dealing with reality ,,, and now its too late to do anything about it.

I like Mike as a human. I get upset when I see him rolling into practice on a cart. I want to see him in motion at all times. He looks slow and overweight to me at times.

Its time to retire. I don't know why a group of professional football coaches still put him on the field. Can't run, cant catch and sure as hell cant block even when hes not missing his assignments. I would rather have Richie Brockel back.
