Weird as it may seem. I have been excited for every game this year and Thursday night is no different. Keep. Pounding.

Me too, just know you are not alone.

Weird people are people too. Um, the world needs weird people too. Ah hellz, you know what I meant right? Cuz right now, I am confusing myself.

Funny how fans will spout the "Keep Pounding" for the team. But in real life? Not so much.

That's where I'm at man. I've passed up things to watch Panthers football many times over the years. I felt I was rewarded for that last year. Now we're right back to the same old Panthers, but I'm not as hopeful we will see the reward any time soon again.

This team, this year, broke its fans heart

they had the city, the Carolinas, many interested fans all over the country and they blew it

same old panthers even with Luke and Newton

Many of us prioritize our time around watching the Panthers. It's football season right? Only 16 chances to watch our favorite team go at it for a short sliver of the year.

I haven't missed watching a Panthers game by choice since 2001. Obviously I've missed games for situations out of my control (work, travel, etc). Even in 2010 I tuned in for all the games I could. That year was easier to understand. I knew the Panthers were bad. It was comical and I knew better days were coming.

I don't feel that way this year. This year is hard to understand. I could rail off a list of reasons, but something is seriously wrong with the team this season. This is a team that went 15-1, featured the MVP of the league, and appeared in the Super Bowl just a season ago. I am struggling to watch what was such an exciting team unravel into an inexplicable mess. So this Thursday, I will not be watching the game.

I honestly don't care if the team wins or loses at this point. If they win, great. I'm not any more or less of a fan. If they lose, I've saved myself the time and emotional turmoil of watching another embarrassing Panthers loss.

Call me fair-weather or what you will, but I need a break from this team. I'll probably watch the following week. Will you be watching this Thursday?

Hell no.  I will be eating Thanksgiving dinner.

What was the question?  There is no draft son.  There was one?

I don't get to see most of the Panthers games as I live out of market (fug the Skins). I used to watch every game that was on, regardless of who was playing. This year, for various reasons, I haven't watched a single non-Panthers game in its entirety. This one will be on TV, in my house, and I'll be damned if I'm going to miss that.

I don't see why not.. there are only 16 games in a season anyway in football, we get a long as hell offseason to wait for and theorize and mope until they come back. Might as well watch the games while you still have the chance.

Even during the 2010 season I didn't miss a single game , its still fun to watch your team play football even if some seasons they are idiots that primarily just find new ways to lose most games.
