Make The Panthers Great Again 2017 - 3 things that need to change

Should I mention Daryl Williams has been consistently the best graded RT from our oline lately?

Not to mention he was rated #1 RT during the 2015 preseason.

Oher is a starter for many other teams. He could be upgraded, but it's not that big an issue.

Or should we roll Nate Chandler and Byron Bell?

Acting like DG never did anything for the oline is about as delusional as it gets.

That's all relative...still need to upgrade

And you're beyond stupid if you think this OL is any good.

Lets visit the back to back plays where Williams and Turner both completely whiff on their blocks resulting in back to back sacks and forcing a punt.

Or how about all the millions of times Stewart gets the ball and needs to break 2-3 tackles just to get a single yard. There isn't a running back in the league that works harder for their yards than Stewart.

Top 5 OL lol! You can't be serious.

Explain then if Williams got abused "so much", how is he consistently the top 2 olinemen recently? Not to mention he went against a rising elite pass rusher in LB Dee Ford.

Quote

QB Cam Newton, 79.3

C Gino Gradkowski, 79.3

RT Daryl Williams, 78.7

LT Mike Remmers, 77.0

WR Devin Funchess, 70.9

Also to note: Remmers is 4th. Lol. He didn't have much competition though. C Gino did actually pretty decent for a backup. And our guards were the issue, most likely without Kalil's leadership. Issue last week too.

He also had a decent week against the Rams

Quote

TE Greg Olsen, 79.2

RT Daryl Williams, 79.0

WR Kelvin Benjamin, 75.8

WR Ted Ginn, 67.6

HB Jonathan Stewart, 66.6

Note: Williams the ONLY Oline men with a top 5 grade

Williams has been consistently good lately. When Kalil is back, our O-line will show strength back in the interior.

Should I mention Daryl was once considered a top tackle in the 2015 preseason?

You guys seem to forget our guards are considered top tier too, with Trai Turner coming off a probowl season. We should be good coming up soon.

Good stuff @Saca312

Unforunately, the vocal minority will just poo poo that as PFF is lol.

Does not matter what you think of PFF, he was still grading out better than people around here give him credit for. Too many folks around here spout emotional drivel, to heck with facts when they are angry.

Sometimes I wonder what folks are watching during the games. If they are watching the ball, how do they even know how the Oline is playing. If there isn't a replay, or a commentator telling them, they wouldn't know who had a bad play. 1 or 2 bad play does not make a player bad. Every player has had bad plays. Every single one.

Wanna know the most disgusting thing about this season, you can literally point to four plays that, if changed, would have resulted in us having a 7-2 record.

Gano hits the fg in denver

Benjamin doesn't hold on fozzys screen td (I personally don't think Minnesota recovers from down 17)

Shula gives the ball to Cap from the one against Tampa instead of DA throwing the pick

We run a draw (or literally do anything but take a sack) on 3rd and 20 yesterday to set up a fg to push it to three scores (this was during the 20 play drive that resulted in a punt)

i know hindsight is 20-20, but this season could be so much different even with the injuries incurred.

PFF grades, jesus...

You do realize PFF grades on a scale of -2 to +2?

You really think that when guys like Gino, Turner and Williams completely whiff on the line and their man is in Cam's face before the ball that they only deserve a -2? These guys' bad plays are worthy of making a new scale just for them. That's the problem with PFF. Our line can be OK at times but too many times their f*ck ups are so bad that they're lucky to only receive a -2.

So not only do Williams and Turner only receive a -2 on their TERRIBLE back to back plays. PFF doesn't even factor in the fact that because of their bad plays it takes us out of field goal range and costs us a chance at 3 points.

You do realize you're making yourself sound more and more dumb. I already gave you facts that there are plenty of others who believe they are overall great players, yet you look at 1 or 2 plays and call them screw ups. I can bet you even the Dallas Oline has had bad plays too, and no one is calling them terrible when healthy.

Please though, continue on in your delusion.

PFF grades the be all and end all of football performances got it! PFF can be used as a decent starting point but that's all.

Try to remember you're the retard that stated we had a top 5 OL before you start using words like "delusion".

Week after week we all sit here and watch (apparently some like to do so blindfolded) Cam take a damn beating like no other. Well I can tell you right now that's not all on Cam.

Sure. I'm saying when healthy, we'd have a pretty darn good Oline.

PFF grades aren't end all for sure, but they're a pretty darn good measuring tool. If you watch the tape, you'll notice our oline men holding up for MOST plays.

Then again, 1 or 2 bad plays makes them suck, doesn't it? In that case Tom Brady's the worst QB in history for throwing that interception against the Seahawks recently.

PFF also had Wentz as their highest graded QB in the NFL a couple weeks ago. PFF is tremendously flawed.

If our Oline was so great we wouldn't need to run max protection every other passing play. It's come to the point that if we don't leave extra blockers Cam will almost certainly get hit.
