2015=2016 Same Panthers Different Year

Players aren't all exactly the same but guess what is the game plan. These idiots that call themselves coaches must not realize how much change happened in the off season. The NFL didn't see what was coming last year with the Panthers success that's why they were able to execute. But low and behold 2016 came around the corner and a very experienced coaching staff was able to figure us out in one weeks time by looking at the Panthers only loss of the season. The new season came around and I guess our coaching staff was too proud to admit the Super Bowl loss wasn't just an anomaly it was actually the blue print to exposing our flaws. The saddest part of it all was the coaching staff didn't even realize it week 1 nor 2,3,4 etc and guess what they may never. Our coaching staff embodies complacency while the rest of the NFL evolves.

maybe Gettleman could draft players that would fit this new scheme you talk of. Its all Gettleman's fault for having this team stuck in 2015

Well, we went 15 and 1, and were the NFC champs.  I can't really blame them for not changing the game plan drastically.  This year has been a calamity of errors that have cost us games.  Games we won last year, we are losing this year.  Missed field goals, penalties, turnovers, etc... have been the difference.

Of course, it would help this year if the front office and coaching staff had put a better secondary on the field,  Wouldn't have helped today, but might have gotten us 1 or 2 more wins earlier in the season.

That's not the point what didn't change is adapting to having rookies in key positions and lineman that were exposed numerous times running what wasn't successful even during wins. You play with what you have but you can't expect the same results year after year without adapting.

This team has enough talent to be a winning team right now.

Honestly.

Seriously.

There is NO REASON other than Ron Rivera and his Dinosaur NFL Ways that this team shouldn't be, at minimum, 5-4.

Same QB, same RBs, same OL, better (supposedly) WR corps, improved (supposedly) DL unit, same LBs, -->changed secondary<---.

Yes, the young, inexperienced secondary would obviously be a negative, but if EVERY OTHER FACET of the team were playing to their talent and potential, we'd be 5-4 minimum, I honestly believe that.

The fact that we aren't lies at the feet of Ron Rivera and his coordinators.

Call a spade a spade. we are bad team. At least 4 of our losses this year, we would have won those games last year easy.

Bad teams are distracted, bad teams lose focus and don't secure the ball at critical points in a game, bad teams don't give up stupid penalties, bad teams don't know how to tackle even though you're supposed to have that down in pop warner bad teams make so many mental mistakes .... mehhh

This game actually would not have been close if the Chiefs had a real QB

This fuging team wasnt in the right mental state coming in I think.  Seems like we put all of our eggs in the basket to beat Denver in the rematch and just checked out after losing again.  The hits Cam took that night hurt also.  Really wished Gano makes the FG that night but it also seems like we are not a mentally strong team right now.

Well you don't know its a passing league and if you dont have secondary it can negate front 7 as we seen earlier in the season. Another reason is that there was no upgrade to the OL and we go beat by blitz and pressure leading to losses. We should have drafted a speedy & shifty WR instead of Fucnhess to complimenthis along with a TE who can help the tackles out in pass protection and creating blocking for the RBs.

DG thinks he know everything but golden rule in the leauge is if your not changing your not getting better.

I agree 100% with this.

And as far as I can see the only year that DG hasn't made multiple changes since he's been here has been the one AFTER the team went to the Super Bowl.

So, absolutely a mistake to stand pat.

That still doesn't mean that we shouldn't have won many of the games that we've lost this year with the talent as-is.  And, I repeat, the fact that we have NOT isn't on Gettleman, its on Dinosaur Ron and his Dinosaur Coordinators.

I agree to some extent but Ron & Co. can do so much with talent at certain level. Lets hope we can win out and couple of teams take the L
