Heck, he was celebrating earlier thinking he "caught me in a lie" because apparently you're never allowed to extend guys before their contract expires. I guess now you have to wait till their free agent year and risk them leaving.

Weird. I could have sworn we extended Cam, Luke, Olsen and others before their contracts were actually up. My memory must be getting bad.

I got a good laugh out of it. Granted his "born out of an asshole" line was an even better setup.
