I can accept this. My thing is if Gettleman isn't gonna have the balls to let Ron go, then he may need to leave too. I didn't like his roster moves this offseason though, I hated his gambles.

I'm not so much concerned that he won't have the balls so much as that he won't think it's the right thing to do.

Same result either way, of course.

We need a new philosophy after watching this Pittsburgh-Dallas game

I'm not giving a Ron a pass for making the SB, choking, comes back the next year and shits the bed. Usually this team does good every other year but a SB loss can have some lingering effects so honestly I'm not sure about that trend. I watched the last regime never really recover from a SB loss (I guess 05 is an exception) and stayed too long and Ron is looking like Fox jr. Even his press conferences are Fox-esque

You guys are crazy.

3 straight NFCS titles, trip to a Super Bowl. And a bad start the next season and everyone wants to can his ass.

Why? So we can get another regime in here to waste another 6 years and Cam and Luke's careers?

You gotta relax people, Ron has gotten us to SB just last year. I believe in him.

Ron can't adjust to the circumstances. A few posters have mentioned, but Ron and his staff are all complacent. I think Ron and co (especially Shula) were good for a time but as with everything, seasons change. I think their time is up.

Can you put your ego aside? You don't fire the only constant force you've got in the front office just because you don't agree with his methods, or just because you're a Norman or Smitty fan. Newsome was allowed to have a few 'average' offseasons too.

As a GM, you don't stand aside and do hardly anything to improve your team that just went to the Super Bowl. That's what Dave did. He had many opportunities to fix problems with the team, but he didn't. GMs are supposed to be strengthening your team. Gettleman stuck with what we had. In the NFL, that's not going to cut it. Once you get full of yourself and complacent, bad things happen. You can't stay the same year after year. You have to actually improve the team. Gettleman not only did nothing, he actually made us worse.

Gettleman has a lot to prove next offseason. He can't get rid of all-pro talent again just because they wouldn't settle for peanuts and then fill that hole with bargain bin free agents or rookies and expect success. He needs to put his ego aside, realize his methods were wrong this offseason and improve himself next offseason. Another offseason like this one, he should be canned.

We have blown atleast 3 games that should have been wins (Denver, Tampa and KC) which would make our season look very different. It's a very fine line usually in the NFL between being 7-9 or 10-6 and we are proof of that this year. We are a few pieces, and a few young guys progressing from being dominant again. Not just merely good, dominant. It literally all starts up front. A few oline pieces between draft and FA and it will do wonders for this team. Cam will have time, we will be able to run the ball succesfully, Cam will be able to throw more accurately without a defender in his face every play. Complete 180 from the trash we have all watched this year. It's amazing we score at all with this garbage and that's a testament to really how good Cam is. Fix the oline with serious reinforcements, get us a young stud RB to take some of the pressure off Cam, and watch dominance again like 2015.

Defensively we are fine. Can we use a dominant pass rusher, yes but so could every team. Unless your getting Kam Chancellor style Safety won't see much improvement in the secondary, and the kids are starting to look more confident. Bradberry and Worley may be a very good tandem for years to come, I'm very optimistic about there progressions.

Rivera has to adjust.

Here's where it went wrong.

I think Rivera is one of the nicest people in the world.

But it isn't just this year.

Under Rivera, the team has always had slow starts, sloppy play, poor depth chart decisions, second half collapses and other issues that just don't seem to be improving at all, even after six years.

I think last season maxed out what we're going to get from Rivera.

I hate it, but it's time to move on.

Made it too the SB in spite of the coaches everything  perfectly lined up. Good coaches are the ones that can overcome  injuries, turnovers and yes make half time adjustments..This happen last yr as well teams coming from behind , but we had norman, peanut, and harper to help create turnovers with luke davis and coleman..thats gone. Cams line was not exposed yet, and he had not taken the beating he has taken this yr. We escaped last yr by the playmaking abilites of those guys..not coaching..now we cant even keep leads bc they are gone..the fix is in on tne line they know all they have  to do is blitz  bc  shula refuses to call plays that neglate blitzes..we lost to the falcons and superbowl bc of this and it is the same this year.. oh yeah coaches need to go..bc ron may get you there but when its time to play chess he can't . .he does not have the mindset.

You acting like it easy to win a ring you think these coaches are not trying there hardest out there not Rivera fault that those sacks were forced by our offensive line not protecting well

But who put them there ..who gave them the nod that they were good enough to protect the qb..G man and ron...whose the head coach..he does not have what it takes toget this team over the hump...if its shula he should see that and change coordinators..look at Tolbert has done nothing in?about 3yrs still on the team.he is not good at evaluating players nor coaches, poor game management skills and no adjustments..how much more do you need to have before the string is clipped.
