Time For a Complete Coaching Change?

Good bye to Rivera and his staff in the off season.  They just dont seem to be able to learn from past mistakes.  Our offense is atrocious our defense seems to constantly be taking backward steps and the special teams blow year after year.  The window has closed on about half of our starters,.  No sense prolonging the agony of seeinga  sb victory escape  from the career resumes of Luke and Cam as well

The only reason I say Gettleman is for his decisions in the offseason. I agree with you though, and I fear the same thing. I said last week to someone at my office that Rivera is an okay coach. The ship has sailed but I highly doubt they will lose their jobs any time soon.

Our roster has improved every year but this one.

This year some calculated risks didn't pay off and some guys we were counting on got old fast.

That's one bad year.

We've had six years of slow starts, bad game management, poor depth chart decisions, lethargic camps, failure to make adjustments and second half collapses.

It's time to move on.

I don't know if we will, but we should.

It's time for a change period, from GM down. Gettleman has to go, he's shown what he's capable of. Rivera has to go. He doesn't have the balls for anything. Shula has to go. He can call a good half then a bad one. I think in order to go to the next level, you need more than mediocracy on the sideline.

I think the coaching staff needs to go, but with Gettleman having an offseason on the hot season. He will need to have a great one to retain his job and prove that he can put his ego aside.

I think Gettleman deserves some more time tbh. However, this coaching staff has had enough chances. It's one thing to lose, but to lose the SAME WAY the past 5 years just tells me they are going into games with one gameplan and will run it regardless and will make zero adjustments after halftime. Doing the same thing over and over expecting different results is the definition of insanity, as a wise man once said.

I can accept this. My thing is if Gettleman isn't gonna have the balls to let Ron go, then he may need to leave too. I didn't like his roster moves this offseason though, I hated his gambles.

But will he?

The only way Ron Rivera can stay is if he decides to be just a figure head while Gettleman has full control of the coaches and staff. However, that is very unlikely because that would be career suicide for Ron ever being a head coach in the NFL again. Ron has to fire Shula,Mastko,Skipper, and everyone that is involved in coaching and game planning for Special Teams. Veterans such as Tolbert, Dickson, Remmers, Oher, Ted Ginn, Charles Johnson, Joe Webb and Colin Jones need to be let go. See all these adjustments are conducive when a new head coach is in charge and can effectively see what is making this team rot with two cornerstones in Cam Newton and Luke Keuchly.
