It's not just Shula.

The clock management, depth chart choices, poor planning, decision making and lack of adjustments all fall at the feet of the head coach.

Well, that's pretty much the point I was making.

That Shula is Shula because that's what Ron wants him to do.

And Mac is Mac because that's what Ron wants him to do.

And if either were replaced?  They'd be doing what Ron wants them to to do, ergo NOTHING WOULD CHANGE, ergo the only possible way to change this team up is to change the philosophy from the head down.

I'd keep Eric Washington and Sam Mills III. Not that big a Dorsey fan.

New coaches tend to be more likely to keep position coaches than coordinators.

Yeah, i know. This was just my list.  I know if someone else is brought in, odds are most of these guys wont be retained, but position coaches are the safest bet.

And forgot about Mills, he's a keeper too.  Washington had crossed my mind, but meh...

Ron and his family are the salt of the earth.

But as much as I hate it, I'm on board with letting them go.

I considered Holcomb and Hoener.

Shula, Matsko and the ST guys are my least favorite. As mentioned, I'm not that high on Dorsey either.

But yeah, I think you have to let Rivera go or nothing really changes.

..............And ZERO superbowl rings. You can be content with just being a borderline playoff team. Other fans on the other hand want to see this team win a ring. If broncos thought like you, they would have kept Fox and would have continued choking in the playoffs and superbowl.

AS of now, he has 4 losing seasons and only 2 winning ones. That lightening in the bottle last year sure did cloud people's memories of his disappointment in years prior.

I feel Ron can be a way better coach if he

1. Hire fuging better coordinators my god. That is the easy part imo

2. Take over the defense. Im sorry but Ron as a DC > Mcderm. I dont understand why not be more involved in the defense. He should take that over instead of standing there useless every sunday on game days

3. Stop picking and choosing who put blame on. You know Gano is wack, start working out some kickers. Tolbert sucks work out some fullbacks. I dont know who handles the personnel decisions tween him and Gettleman, but its been garbage this year
