Legit question here.

How did we not score after halftime?

I was working, and had no access to anything until 24 seconds left in the game.

We did not make any adjustments. The game changed when we had that 20 play drive that lasted for 10 minutes and we got no points from it. We allowed two consecutive sacks and the chiefs got into a groove. That also influenced the interception that Cam would throw early, he was so hell bent on not taking a sack that he floated a ball into double coverage. Basically the O-line folded in the second half including Trai Turner and Norwell. We can't run the ball effectively in the trenches and we can't pass protect. Teams send 6+ plus on blitz and we can't pick it up or we don't dump it off.

Hey, I'm glad we have the cap room to not spend any fuging money next offseason.  We are pathetically bad.  The curse is one thing, but last time a team had a losing record after a superbowl?  Panthers in 2004.  We are the joke that keeps getting refuging told.  I'm so fuging angry right now.  If that POS Shula makes it out of the locker room before being fired, I'll be fuging pissed.  Sir fuging Purr could do a better job calling plays.  That's a man who just collects a paycheck.

It's not a curse, the Broncos bit the bullet and re-signed their All-Pro Defensive MVP and absolutely loaded up for another run. Gettleman was feeling himself after '15 and felt absolutely no need to upgrade and reload for another run and our out of touch Team Owner allowed him to do so. We all know Rivera's struggles as a competent HC in today's ever evolving league and promptly stood pat and didn't upgrade at any facet of adjustments or philosophy. This team going 15-1 is both a gift and a curse for this Franchise.

Its starting to look like a curse for us. We'll see come offseason time. Some serious changes need to be made. Losing a SB and being stagnant isn't going to help you get back to the SB. I'm talking coaching changes too.

ST is still terrible too under Ron Rivera. I just watched the Broncos win off a ST block. When's the last time we blocked a punt? A FG? I'm ready for a new HC. No way I see Ron recovering from a SB loss

That, and Cam and Ron not having situational awareness is what I was/am scared of.

I don't want to watch a game where we held a 17-3 lead AT HOME in the 4th and we can't finish.....when the season was on the line.  Something is wrong with this team, and I don't think any of us really know what it is.

May be time for a shake up....the Bene cutting wasn't enough.

My roomate and I were actually talking during the game about how we don't even bother trying to block an FG or punt.

Game reminded me of the superbowl all over again. you really can't trust this team even up to the last minute. It just amazes me how people on here get excited about the dumbest stuff and GMs who come in and just fix the cap simply by not spending money and is considered Jesus.

The Panthers did not play smart football.

Carolina had the game in hand near the end of the first half, then players started to make stupid decisions.

Starting with Thomas Davis' 15 yard penalty just before the half on a guy heading out of bounds for a small gain.

Teams have been blitzing Cam since the SB... yet our coaches still haven't figured out how to effectively respond to the pressure.  First a 20 play drive and Cam is sacked out of field goal range!  Later, instead of throwing away the ball during a blitz, Cam throws a pick 6 deep in our own territory.  The only reason the Panthers were deep in their own territory was thanks to Fozzy's decision to run the ball out of the end zone rather than to take a knee.

This team has a habit of going on a mental vacation whenever they get a large lead in the first half.

Bottom Line:  The Panthers seized defeat from the jaws of victory and likely cost themselves the season.
