PS4 Pro

It's here, finally. $100 more than a regular slim PS4 ($299, $399). 4K capabilities.

 

Ironically, I can either buy a 4K TV for a new PS4 pro. I am wondering how good the upscaling is and if it is worth it. Has anyone tried the pro? Anyone plan to get?

I got it last night and tried rise of the tomb raider in 4k for 30 minutes or so.  that was the most gorgeous videogame ive ever seen.  cant wait to try it more and infamous since i already have it.

The level of upgrade is going to depend on your TV.  Do you have 4k and HDR?  Then you'll notice a big improvement.  The main issue for both the PS4 Pro and the Xbox Scorpio is that the games have to continue to work on the older hardware.  It's up to the developer if/how they use the newer specs.

I was planning on getting a 4K tv with HDR this year, then wait for the scorpio next year. That's the plan so far. lol.
