Evidently most of you aren't paying attention to kickers league wide, as they are all.missing some kicks.

He did prevent that kick off return from being a TD. A lot of kickers would've whiffed that tackle

Is Gano the best in the League? 

Nope. 

He is better than most around give credit for. 

Good luck funding an upgrade without paying through the nose.

Lets take the number 12. 12 for FGA

23 kickers that have attempted 12 FG attempts or more have a better percentage than Gano

Accuracy is down across the league this year.  He is a good kicker not having a great season.  I still have faith in him though

What were the distances involved on those made kicks? The reason I ask is that only three kickers in the league have attempted more field goals from 40-49 yards than Gano (he has made 6 of 8, ranking him middle of the pack percentage wise).  Not great, not bad. All of Gano's misses have come from forty plus, and 2 of the 4 from 50 plus, one of those after a bad snap.



 



Don't get me wrong, I would love to get someone better, but there its much easier said than done.

Here is the problem with "Kickers are bad across the league" argument.  Rivera, like Fox, will play to win with the field goal.  They put way more emphasis on it than most teams.  That's bad for us, because when you have a inconsistent kicker like Gano, you shouldn't be playing to win with field goals.

This. Our Gameplan is made is such a way were either our offense has to be flawless or we need  Top 3 FG Kicker and Punter and right now we only have one of those.

It'd be worth trying out some kickers to light a fire under his ass. But getting rid of Gano now would be dumb

Gano has been very consistent for ys since he came to the Panthers. This is the first season of any inconsistency what so ever. 

He's not as bad as he's made out to be. 

We can upgrade, so yes, lets shell out rediculous money for a better kicker.

I'll ride with Gano but only till the end of the season. We seriously need to find his replacement or get someone in to coach him up.
