Uh, no, it's not. Is this the reaction you teach your children? Stupid. Not time to act like a child, not time to lower standards, that won't do anything at all whatsoever except make us look bad.

Change needs to happen but it will not happen this way and supporting even more vicious, injury producing hits isn't the answer.

Yeah I do. Eye for an eye.

We've gotten nowhere being stand up and classy.

I absolutely do not support taking retaliatory shots at the opposing QB. That guy isn't the one treating Cam's head like a piñata. But taking out the defenders taking the cheap shots? Hey, it is what it is. If the NFL and their refs won't protect Cam someone has to. Send a couple of defenders out on carts after they take cheap shots on Cam and guys might start thinking twice. I would feel a bit bad about doing it because that's what those guys are trying to do to Cam.

Trying to be as impartial as possible.

First video looks like he was going for a big shove toward the shoulders and the arms slid upward. I do not think this was an intentional headshot.

Second video is the defender just straight up running into Cam's side. No head contact or anything that was excessive.

Third video - the defender jumps up and bear hugs Cam to take him down. He wasn't trying to headbutt him.

Honestly those look like legal hits to me.

Idk about you but if im a defender and I see the opposing defense hit my QB like that I'm going in for the kill on their QB. The Panthers lost the players that'll beat your ass on gameday if you start some poo

So is our head coach ever going to find his nutsack, and start blasting the league publicly about this, or is our franchise quarterback going to have to continue to be the only one willing to publicly stand up against this bs?

No....but the good news is the NFL logo on our field is getting a fresh coat of paint tomorrow.

Exactly what i said in the game day thread. If the league won't protect cam  then go out and get some offensive linemen that will protect him and stop being cheap and playing backups. Gettleman doesn't take matters in his own hands he needs to be fired. PROTECT YOUR QB.

It may be time to sign a nasty enforcer who is responsible for keeping players off Cam's head and knees at all costs.

Intention doesn't matter.  Half the roughing calls are guys swiping at the football and barely glancing the QB's helmet.

These are guys launching high and hitting heads.  It is a textbook roughing with contact to the helmet.

The job of a union isn't to sort out what's fair. The job of a union is to act in the best interests of it's members. In a case of one union member vs. several, a union is going to be on the side of the several. That's just the way they work.

But it's not one member vs. several, it's one member vs. the body that isn't upholding its end of the labor bargain by not providing the adequate and consistent officiating. It isn't the players' responsibility to ensure that everyone is following the rules in this agreement - it's the NFL's.

I'm not saying that other players shouldn't be held responsible for their actions, but that's exactly why the NFL is the responsible party in this situation - they and the union have agreed that the NFL is charged with ensuring player compliance to the rules. It's not the union's agreed-upon function to police their own members when it comes to following the on-field rules.
