NBC blasts NFL for Rams going to Cam's head

Sad part is the announcers kept saying it was a clean hit with his shoulder. Are they that fooking dumb???

And if you watch it closely he contacts with helmet to helmet first after launching and they tries to follow with a haymaker to the back of Cam's head.

Players are launching at Cam's head with intent and then swinging their arms through to make it look like they MAY be trying to tackle. The issue is there is NO forcible contact allowed to the head or neck area of a QB in a passing posture whether it is inside or outside the pocket.

I was seriously pissed after that one hit with no call.  Especially after the fox announcers seemed to revel in the hit.  What sort of announcers does fox sports employ who enjoy cheap shots that might leave a guy a mental invalid in middle age.  poo has to stop and if it takes Cam sitting to do It I wont blame him.If his coach and employer wont help him he has to help himself.  this poo is beyond ridiculous.

It's really been happening since the Superbowl. Von Miller got away with a few penalties in that game, though I won't try and downgrade his good performance too much because of that.

But these hits. They have to be called.

Inexcusable how the best QB of the next generation of football is treated like a rag doll. This style of play will keep up if nothing is done about it. It's completely nuts.

Just to mention, Dungy, Harrison and Faulk calling the NFL out will do nothing. Cam has called them out and it did nothing. Sure Ron said they've talked to Goodell about these hits, but call them out publicly on it. Make this a deal until it's resolved. Don't sit back, fold your arms and go on the good word.

A twitter blast storm from fans with the media thirsty to write the story will do it. We have to make it happen.

We can not expect Cam or Rivera to keep calling them out, but it is a story and we can feed it. At the very least, this will fuel the concussion litigation the NFL is fighting in court for former players.

It may also set up a case for Cam if his career ends prematurely because of these types of hits in the pocket. Defenders will go for these hits if they see that the officials allow it. Even if it meanst they get fined.

Unfortunately..Its going to take Cam to be taken out on a stretcher before the rest of the league feels like sh*t for letting this happen..

Until then..Gettleman knows the NFL won't do sh*t to protect Cam so go get get some offensive lineman to protect Cam RIGHT NOW!!..the front office is much as the blame as the refs as they keep letting sh*tty remmers play and Cam face dirty hits to his head..

the announcers should never be allowed to call another game. They were mocking Cam the whole time. On legit sacks, they said things like "can't call the league on that hit". No poo dumbass. That's not the type of hit Cam was talking about. Cam was talking about these 2 illegal hits that weren't called that you coincidentally tried to say were legal. GTFO.

I don't think Goodell is swayed by any of it, honestly. I feel that because they do it view Cam as a quarterback. Goodell doesn't want Cam to be the face of his league, that's a fact. At this point though, I'm not sure what could be done.

I saw someone mention if Cam sat, they wouldn't be mad. Let's be honest, Cam isn't that type of player. I hope something changes real soon though. He has to think about post-football. What good is he to his children if his brains are scrambled eggs?
