OK so I'm trying to finish moving and throwing out stuff

I've been spending weekends and weeknights with friends trying to get all the stuff out of my house now that I am living in sin with my fiancee. Most of the stuff is gone, all the furniture pretty much but theres tons of crap in there that I just want to throw out, and start to get the house in shape to rent or even sell.

Are there any recommendations for services that do this kind of thing out there?

Take all that "crap" to goodwill some poor folks want your old wranglers.

Sorry I didn't make myself clearer.

I've been working on this stuff for weeks. Friends and relatives have gotten all kinds of good stuff, I've donated tons of clothes and an entire formal dining room set (the exes which she refused to take out of the house for 4 years lol) to Goodwill.

I'm talking a shed with tons of old bikes up in the rafters, old computer cases, torn up halloween stuff - there are some things like mirrors that might be sold, but to be honest making a hundred bucks by spending a friday night and a saturday morning working my ass off when I could be working on all the things I need to get setup here at the new place is an area of diminishing returns.

Most of what I have in the house now is of marginal value, just 15 years of accumulated junk I could not bring myself to throw out.

I will continue to look for stuff to donate, but what I am looking for is people that do this for a fee, bring a container and get all the stuff, and sell what they can. Or rent a container for all the crap and get my friends to do it - but I don't know what a good deal is on this kind of thing....

    • I think they are holding back to see what they have in the young guys, but I think it's a near certainty at some point they will bring someone else in. Right now (assuming we keep 5 CBs which is normal), the top 5 IMO are: 1) Jaycee Horn 2) Mike Jackson 3) Chau Smith-Wade 4) Shemar Bartholomew  5) Akayleb Evans   Obviously Jaycee is the alpha in that room and paid as such. Need him to stay healthy and continue to play at a Pro-Bowl level. Mike Jack did pretty well all things considered last year, and they gave him lower-level starter money. Fair deal for both sides.  Smith-Wade showed some promise as a slot CB. I think low-key he's a lock for the team. Different size and skill set than the other CBs. Shemar Bartholomew was the most sought after waiver claim last preseason. Was 5th CB most and inactive most of last year. Had a few defensive and ST snaps. Nothing of note good or bad but too small a sample size to make any judgment. Akayleb Evans was a 2022 4th Rounder for the Vikings. Has started 19 games (including Week 18 for the Panthers) in his career and played in 43. Was pretty good in 2023 before getting injured and falling down the depth chart last year. There's some other guys on the outside looking in, but until they show more in training camp I dont see anyway they make the 53. And only Jaycee, Mike Jack, and Smith-Wade are locks to make this roster IMO.
    • Was just reading the Ask the Old Guy story on the team's website and was shocked to see that only two 2nd Rounders have signed so far, 30 of them haven't. That isn't normal, the Texans really screwed things up for the rest of the league, no other explanation that I can think of for 30 of the 32 picks to still be unsigned at this point.
    • They need to address CB before season starts. This is not going to cut it.
