That wasnt why he dropped.  He started to fall like a rock about times started to dig deep into film and have workouts with with.  Kid was a solid athlete for his position but was beyond raw.  Most said no way he could play LT possible RT and his stock shot from potential 1st rounder to 4th rounder at best

" Once perceived as a surefire first-round pick, a stress fracture discovered in his foot only a couple weeks prior to the draft, scared teams away from Clemmings and as a result he slid all the way to the third day of the draft. "

He was getting quoted as a potential 4th rounder weeeeelll before the week prior to the draft.  kid was a good athlete and that was pretty much it.  He got abused and worked in the senior bowl/practices that year.

Only ones that the "injury" scared away were the guys who draft due to measurements, see arizona and humphries

Just realized you thought the grade was for one game. It's not, that's over the course of the WHOLE SEASON.

He is playing historically bad and you would still replace our mediocre guy with him?

Dude member offense line is about chemistry I told you why they are struggling in the previous post. Just look at the amount pressure our OL was giving up when J-Stew was out. Also if you look at the Stats they are identical to Remmers

so come on man :)

He'll never admit he was wrong on this. I just membered about that in another thread. The Vikings are losing games due to their OL, which Clemmings is a huge contributor to the suckitude. No chance I'd want him on our team over any of the 3 tackles. Clemmings looked like dog doo when he and I argued about our tackles in an early game and that was before the last two weeks of disasters.

He's basically saying that if we had Joe Flacco he'd rather have Blaine Gabbert because "I really wanted him in the draft".

Just because he's different doesn't mean he's better.

The perceived 1st round pick is funny. There are usually about 60 perceived 1st round picks every year before the combine and pro-days/team visits. The early rankings are usually way off in some cases. A stress fracture shouldn't move someone from 1st to 4th. Myles Jack and Jaylon Smith went early 2nd with way more severe injuries than a stress fracture. Marcus Lattimore was a 1st round pick who slid to the 4th due to a horrific injury. If Clemmings was viewed as a legit 1st round tackle, no chance he slides to the 4th due to the stress fracture.

Clemmings never even knew he had a fracture in his foot.  said he never even felt any pain and was only discovered when teams throw you into these medical evaluations.

But you know just going out and having one of the worst senior bowl weeks for a OL in recent years and looking really bad just raw athletic ability in workouts with teams had nothing to do with him dropping haha

You just picked the base stats from NFL.com. PFF for all their faults seem to do a decent job of O-Line evaluation. NFL.com doesn't take into account blown assignments, missed run blocks, or any run grade for that matter. Clemmings is just straight up donkey balls at this point in his carrier. To argue he's the same as Remmers after admitting to not even watching the guy play just makes you look like this:

I didn't watch that game but i watched several of his games,  dude it's not like Remmers hasn't made the same mistakes this year . PFF is not the sole measurement of successful   Like when they said we had the worst WR group last year.  I bet if he was in the Panther lineup he would have far better grade

You obviously don't understand  how OL works & the offensive schemes.

Remmers big slump has been (outside the superbowl vs the leagues #1 passrusher) has been when he slid to the left side.

Clemmings has been garbage on the rights side.  Scheme or no scheme he has been garbage since leaving college.  He was making guys in senior bowl week look like superbowl Von Miller.  But yeah its just scheme

All you have shown there is that Long and Clemmings are worse that Remmers and Williams. Vikings OL play has lost them the last two games yet their C/LG is barely below our C/LG. They only have a worse RG than us, but their Ts are much worse since we are A) playing Remmers out of position and B) missing Oher.

Thanks for proving the point that we'd be worse if we had Clemmings and Cam might have gotten hit a few more times this week.

Yea  sure the interior OL is far worse it just shows the grading at PFF is pretty bad cause I know Kalils & DW rating is way off.  But the main point is they don't have true running game just member how bad our OTs where getting beat when J-Stew was out.
