Big Vern

Hello, I'm technically new here as a poster but I've grazed this board for awhile now. Proof of my fandom, Wesley Walls air guitar TD celebration, Steve Beurlein is still my favorite Panther QB, and Steve Smith beat up Anthony Bright...

Anyway, the topic at hand. I like big Vern and obviously I hope he realizes his potential because its there and we aren't keeping both Star and KK. I'd rather keep Star and tag/trade KK. I would have traded KK at 1-5 if I didn't fear a team letdown. Just like I'd rather keep Nor well because he will come cheaper than Turner.

My point though is I play a game with the draft. Every year I compare my mock draft to the actual picks. Used to beat Hurney all the time. And while I have no proof, I wanted Kevin Dodd, Adolphus Washington, and Jordan Howard this year. And they could have been had given our slots. And they all would have contributed. I had no plan for CB given what happened, but I probably would have went the 2013 route and signed veterans like Leon Hall/Antonio Cromartie.

For the record, right now I want Jamal Adams in the 1st and the best DE available in the 2nd. Maybe DeMarcus Walker or Tyquan Lewis if he declares. We need a Safety like Adams and an every down DE that can rush the passer badly. The CB free agent market is strong in 2017 while the DE market sucks. Plus we have done our time with these rookies. After that I'd like some mid-late round lineman to coach up because we will eventually lose one guard and Oher will play out his contract, though I'd stick with the Remmers/Williams duo and if it works I'd release Oher and re-up Remmers on a friendly two year deal. More versatile. And my draft choices reflect my belief that we will go a strong 8-8/9-7.

Re: Walls

That wasn't an air guitar celebration.  He was shooting a shotgun.

Walls paying all the kids waiting on a ball to play dead when he shoots them. That would be epic. Would they fine the kids for choreographed celebration?

Epic indeed. If I was on an NFL player on a fat contract and scored in the midst of a blowout, I'd "pull the trigger" on this celebration.....

The kids would be sent to a counselor, or subjected to children services cross talk.
