my friend and I have been saying this since the draft. I get BPA, I really do, but you can only play so many DTs at once

Now to be fair. If you have four good ones, you can almost put constant pressure on the Offense. We rotate a lot, so having good depth is a must.

 

Pressure up the middle is a Defense's best weapon.

 

That said. Man, it will be nice knowing the chances of us drafting a DT this year are pretty slim.

He will draft a DT. He has to since he will not give KK the money he is asking for.

This is Gettleman. You know exactly what he is going to do every off season.

This team needs Derek Anderson. He tore the Falcons up while Cam didn't. 

Trade Cam to a team who needs a Cutler who can run.

Not a dumb pick and too early to call him a bust (7 games in with an injury?  Really?)  Were KK and Star kicking arse in their first 7 games?  Compared to the DTs we had before them, yes.  But you are comparing Vern to year 3 versions of Star and KK--not fair.

 

You don't draft for the moment, you draft for the future.  We have 2 DTs who will need about $30m per year next year.  Depth is good.
