Jesus Christ what is wrong with these people?!

It's like they take delight in Cam being hurt and officiated unfairly. They're just a bunch of jealous bitches.

Agreed with you, i been thinking about all this all day, Panthers and fans are upset not because cam simply is getting hit....its because he is getting HIT ILLEGALLY as a QB and it's not being called. don't know how outsiders are not understanding this, everywhere i look it's he should stop whining or running blah blah....I tell you what... I'm not a sadistic person but people really want him to get hurt I want give 2 fugs about any other player sustaining injury. that's how pissed I am. it's one thing to not like the guy, but brushing off him getting hit unfairly and injured is crosses the line.

I don't think illegal is the right word. Most of the hits seem within the rules the only difference I see is the intensity of the hit. Defensive players try to hit him harder than normal QBs because he is big and confident/cocky. Tony is saying because Cam is saying things like - if you don't like me dancing then try to stop me - it makes him more of a target and players will try harder to beat him.

Cam didn't make himself a target. But he is intimidating to other players. There have been players who have celebrated more than he did. TO and Ochocinco anyone? A pissed off Cam/Panthers is just what is needed.

See, I can actually think of another guy who arguably "made himself a target" way more often than Newton ever did.

This guy was known to directly antagonize opposing players on a fairly regular basis, and he was often pretty nasty and 'in your face' about it. And he played a position where he took a lot of hits.

You could probably argue that guy "made himself a target" more so than Cam.

Apparently, Cam is the only one not allowed to celebrate or show emotion. All these guys talking danced, showboated or even dunked footballs through the goal posts after a great play, but Cam isn't allowed to do that. A bunch of grown a** babies

Illegal is a good word cuz the hits are against the rules . Going to the head or going to the legs in the pocket is illegal

Because Cam is unapologetic about everything. He has the talent to back up his celebrating. He never trash talk though, thats thing. He just has fun. Grown men bellyaching, it's funny. It's a joke until it's THEIR QB.

The only time I've seen Cam literally talk trash is when another player really went out of their way to antagonize him, and start something.

For the most part he will celebrate, but leave it at that. He also doesn't call guys out publicly like some have done against him, even though he's been on the receiving end of some truly dirty hits, and honestly has every right to. But he's above that. Which makes so much of this criticism so ironically infuriating.

Which is why I think he will keep doing it. I know as fans, we are upset and I'm sure Cam is as well (obviously because he spoke up) but Cam is one of those people that, no matter how hard you try, you can't knock him down. Criticism fuels him. An angry Cam with a chip on his shoulder, that's scary.
