Will the story of the 2016 Panthers be more similar to 2004/2014 or 2011?

2004 Panthers: Started 1-7 (suffered some tough breaks and tons of injuries), got ridiculously hot and ended up choking away a playoff berth.  But the fact of the matter is despite that horrid start we put ourselves in position to make the playoffs

2014: Got lucky because of an awful division here, but started 3-8-1, went to NO, crushed the Saints and ended up coming one game away from the NFC Championship.  2016 NFCS looks wide open rn, but will be more competitive.  Every team has looked good at points this season

2011 Panthers: Started 1-5, beat Washington and I remember a few of us around here got our hopes up that we could make a serious run and get in playoff contention.  The next week we lost at home to a horrid Vikings team and we ended up 6-10

So here we have the 2016 Panthers.  Started 1-5, suffered some tough losses and tons of injuries, but got a big win today and playing in a wide open division.  At 2-5 there is very little room for error, but we're still in this thing.  Next week we play the Rams, a team we are absolutely more talented than.  But we have to fly across the country to LA and they'll be coming off a bye.  Either way, it's an absolute must-win.  Will the 2016 Panthers take care of business and start a winning streak, or will they lose on the road which would basically end playoff hopes.

We can go one of two ways, what do you guys think?

Until we can fricken finish a game the way we start. I can't truly ever believe in this team. We got lucky today that CP was rattled early and never really recovered, but that's CP for you. Arron Rodgers for example, would have come back and won the game.

One game at a time is all I got.

How about this:

2016 Panthers: Started off 1-5 then went on a 10 game regular season winning streak for 11-5. Finishes it off in an emotional game against the Patriots for a Superbowl 51 victory.

Can't imagine a better story-line than this. Sam Mills, the heart and soul of this organization, number 51. Getting a 51 trophy would mean everything, and the way we'd get it would truly bring meaning to #keeppounding.

More like the Giants when they made the run with a wildcard berth.

Probably only one or two games can be lost to have a shot at the playoffs. I will say we're going to lose at least one of the west coast games and at least one divisonal game probably to the falcons again on Saturday since we have to Play the fuging Redskins that Monday night, that's poo for rest and preparation

Well short term we'll all be tuning in and hoping like hell the Bucs will beat the Falcons on Thursday.. and we win in LA on Sunday. I honestly don't know that much about the Rams. They did get shut out against the 49ers of all teams who we beat , so a win is certainly possible. Please for the love of God can we get Bradberry and Oher back? I don't know the extent of Kahlil and Shaqs injuries. having Ryan and Blindside out is not good news against Rams Dline.
