Several of you saw the wrestling ring piece on ESPN this sunday with Williams and Stewart. It was replayed yesterday on NFL live. I'm wondering if there is a way to get stuff off my DVR. It has a USB port on the front of it. I just don't how to use it.

He says to use a dvd recorder or a video to usb coverter and just hook it up to the back and play it with your dvr and rip it to your computer/dvd.

OK, yeah I knew about those... I was told that the DVR in these boxes TWC uses encrypts the digital data it records so that it can only be played back on that box. In other words, you can't copy the files off the DVR using the USB port and an external HDD and view them elsewhere...

To record it on a DVD, you'd have to watch it at real speed as it records right? Just like a VCR used to do... I don't know, I don't have a DVD-R for the TV...

Yeah, my highschool football coach/teacher ripped me the Nc state vs. Unc game and he just watched it a regular speed and fast forwarded through the commericals and cut them out after.
