Mitchell didn't call him out either. Neither did Allen or Tillman or Mikel or Harper or etc etc etc

Nice try though. The only ones to call him out are the 'eccentric' ones.

Well none of the players you mentioned had the impact on this franchise as the players that have. We're talking all time panther greats

Hahahahaha

OR he'll just get franchised and continue to 'suck' and lose out on more money. Yep. That's extremely logical.

Well, it's not a personal attack if it's true.

Why tag a player who is not playing well? Even though my theory is unlikely, a lot of former players have bashed Gettleman for his ways.

Dwill got complacent his last few years here.

Remember when he lost weight to play in Pitt and he got that "spark" back? Well that's wha happens when you lose almost 20 pounds.

He his just a bitter man. I appreciate what he has done for the panthers, the things he did for his mom, but he just holds a grudge.

Look at when his mom died. He blasted the panthers organization for not coming to her funeral. He felt that they "owed" him that. Dude no body owes you anything. When not one of the players comes to the funeral, what does that say about you, and not the team. Then you go and blast them because you though they should have gone (which I agree to a degree) but when my mom died around the same time, I was 25, did not have millions of dollar to support her in her final years, pay for a beautiful funeral, and I didn't expect anyone to owe me or come from my work etc. He just needs to get over himself

If Joe Montana can be traded and Peyton Manning can be released why can't the panthers move on from its former great players?

Because they don't replace them with Andrew Lucks or Steve Youngs thats why. They gamble and we end up 1-5.

Did the panthers not have Jonathan Stewart who made his 1st pro bowl as a full time starter last year? Did Cam not win MVP last year without Steve Smith?

He knows he'll gain those millions elsewhere

Your missing the whole point.  Whether the Panthers sign him next year or not, he is still playing for a big contract campaigning for 32 teams to sign him.  By not trying etc pouting etc is doing nothing but hurting his stock causing his value to go down.

He had one good year last year we get it but thats been about it,   by not doing crap this year to prove a point just makes him look like a 1 year wonder flash in a pan and qill lose tons of $$$$.  You think some college kid who sits back and pouts his Junior year because he couldnt go pro after his 2nd year and doesnt produce. You think some team is going to take him #1 or 2 overall because of something he did a year prior.  HELL No.  youd have to be delusional to tnink his stock is going to stay the same as coming off as last years big year

I'm all about some good Dave bashing...

but Butler ain't outplayed the guys in front of him

Ok, that was a bit of a stretch. My point is he isn't playing as well as he did last year and the way Dave does business could be the reason. Why pass up on a TE like Hunter Henry just to get Butler when you already two exceptional DTs with one going into his contract year?

Beason did and he spoke highly of him.

Well, most of the players who we let go of had big egos. You can continue to defend Norman, Smitty and DeAngelo but there were reasons why we let them go.

I personally stand behind all three decisions.

Define a lot. It's just been 3 players. Hell, Hardy himself didn't blame the front office.

Why wouldn't we? He's been poo this season but we'll rent him for more season while he gets closer to 30 and we continue to develop Butler.

Hardy was getting paid millions just to sit at home. I'm sure he's not going to complain after that

Not drafting Hunter and Derrick Henry is going to haunt me for years.

Gross likes him so does Beason.

DeAngelo is just mad he's gotta work for his money now.

Nah, Gross just accepted a reality and choose to move on.  The fact Gross public ally was blunt about Gettlemen and not liking him for essentially forcing him out says something.

Gettlemen basically ended Gross' tenure here.  Gross didn't like it and voiced it.  Some how people forgot that after Gross moved on and acted like his retirement was something he was debating after Gettlemen essentially set the date
