Buccaneers willing to trade much-needed CB for WR

Yep I will continue to believe what I see on tape Funchess not getting open.

Sporting chart is terrible with tracking drops. They have to be very specific drop for it to count. Funchess had two drops against in the Vikings and had another one against the saints.

You proved my point again in less snaps Coates has 300 more yards and 13 more catches.

Ginn production has everything to do with Cam

Sporting Charts is the most accurate in regards to drops specifically because they don't count decidedly uncatchable passes and errant throws.

Any QB can throw a pass, and some way more accurately than others. You can try and take Cam out the equation, or thrust him into the equation as suits your needs, but it is what it is (not to mention the actual play calling and play callers). Each situation is different. The fact remains that for all intents and purposes Ginn is our WR2, and he's not getting it done, nor is he getting it done as a returner. He has had a great opportunity here, and he's not getting it done. Time to give others a shot, including Funchess.

Sporting chart has actually been proven wrong by acatual game film. The eagles had well over 50 drops last season but sporting chart said they only had 37

proof- https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=jvnvyIdos4w

They said the panthers had only 23 drops last season which unequivocally wrong. Ted Ginn alone had 15-17 drops.

Ginn is our number 2 cause we have no one else, Funchess isn't good enough. Game film doesn't lie Funchess is not getting open. We can go back to his Michigan days the knocks on him were we was slow, bad hands and couldn't separate

The video actually proves my point. Some of those "drops" were off throws that possibly could have been caught, not "should have been caught," but whatever.

Ginn is our number 2, first and foremost, because Rivera's natural inclination to stick to the old, "safe" vet way too long. Secondly, this is historically the modus operandi of the franchise regardlesd of position.

The only reason KB got so many snaps his rookie season is because G-man forced Ron's hands by purging the position. Luckily KB is a big-bodied beast who had a decent year.

G-man forced Rivera's hand this year with the secondary, which is the only real reason that Bradberry and Worley are getting the playing time that they're getting.

Like it or not, Funchess is here. Gettleman gave him a first round grade, and Funchess was surprisingly productive in limited snaps last season per PFF.

I know what my eyes see. I have been watching this game for 40 years. Just like I told people that Bradford was a damned good QB if given time in a stabile situation, as well as the pocket, I am telling you that Funchess is a good receiver. Put Byrd/Brown on one side, Funchess on the other, KB in the slot, and this offense will be hell to deal with. (assuming adequate protection, reads and throws). And don't even talk about an additional play-making TE.

Off throws? You mean not perfectly thrown balls in a game moving 100 mph, how is that possible? All those passes were catchable. Like against the saints Cam threw a strike to Funchess, in normal speed it looked like the defender touched the ball but when they slowed it down on replay it clearly showsed no one touched it and Funchess flat out dropped it.

Ginn is our number 2 cause he's more productive than Funchess and brings a different element to the team.

KB started cause he was better than any other receiver on our roster point blank period. And putting Kelvin at slot is the most ludicrous thing I've heard.

Ive watched football at every facet from HS to pros, I've actually seen Funchess's tape. The be blount Funchess has never been a "good" receiver. He was ok in HS and was a 4 star based off his size and athleticism, he was ok in Michigan and was second fiddle to Jeremy Gallon, never lived up to his bill and he continues that trend in the pros. Compared with Kelvin who was a unguarded monster in HS, dominated at FSU and has been a beast  in the pros and if not for a ACL  would be even better.

That was a bad pass. I have supported Cam from the get-go, but his ball placement and touch leaves a lot to be desired. If he would stay true to his mechanics and make better reads, his efficiency in the pocket would markedly improve, as would the efficiency of the receivers---all the receivers.

As for Funchess, time will tell. Actually time will tell with Cam and all of our receivers. I just hope that the situation doesn't spoil them all.

Eh, sometimes there are some headscratchers, but there are many many more that are some of the best I've ever seen.

Like any QB, you have to get the guy in some kind of rhythm. Especially if his OL is continually being driven back into him within 1 second. He's lethal with the quick passes throwing lasers all over the field, but we seem to be more keen on long developing plays. It's bewildering.

That was a perfect pass Funchess just couldn't come down with in typical Funchess matter.

im still waiting for the day this franchise decides to build around Cam by giving him legit weapons.

With Gettleman at the helm and his obsession with defensive players and never signing marquee free agents I probably won't.

Welcome to the world of the NFL fan. You may not believe this, but the vast majority of fans feel their team could be better if only the team were smart enough to listen to them. Funny how the mind of a fan works eh?
