With Mike Remmers at left tackle.

Figured I needed to say this considering all the hate in the other thread saying we won't win with him starting this Sunday.

Thoughts?

I'm not one of the people that wants to kill Remmers, but we have played three division games since then and our division isn't known for rushing the passer.  Atlanta is doing alright, but the other two are in the bottom half of the league. Arizona will be a true test of his ability at LT. We'll see how it goes

Very much in agreements with this statement.  Must say, Remmers is showing some improvement.  Operative word is, 'some'.

Atlanta, NO and Tampa defense....none of which are known for or have displayed good defense or pass rush...

this week we play the #2 defense and known for their ability to disrupt.

so the stat is on par with us opening the season against horrible passing offenses and trying to equate that to our pass D being decent.

Yeah, AKA he'll get his ass kicked because he's trash.

I'm of the opinion that Remmers equates to a smoking garbage fire no matter where he is on the line. With that said I feel like he might play better on the left side for whatever reason.

You guys give Remmers such a hard time. He's not an upper tier OT, but it's not like he doesn't belong in the NFL.

I'm fine with Remmers as a backup, but he shouldn't be a starter.

He is in the same line up..if he doesn't  get cam sacked, he close to it..then if there is a penalty majority are on him..he sucks.. he is better than them but not by much.

I hear ya. But, I think a lot of his sacks and pressures are due to play calling, and Cam holding the ball too long. Not all of course, but most.

He's not a shut down Tackle, where you leave him out on that island for the entire game. That doesn't make him a bad player, just one with limitations. I think he's perfectly fine if you were scheming a defense. He's athletic enough to pull and get down field on screens. But you just don't put him on the best pass rushers by himself, drop Cam back 10 yards, and forget about him. 

McDermott wouldn't lock Peanut Tillman up on OBJ for the entire game and just forget about him. That's asking for a 600 yards receiving day from OBJ. That doesn't mean Tillman can't play. He just has limitations that you have to scheme around.
