TWD Season 7

So, I looked into the spoilers or synopses (is that the word for more than one synopsis?) for the rest of the season just because I like to do that type of thing from time to time.

What is theorized based on filming info, etc. is that it plays out like this:

Be warned. A lot of info, which is likely on point, follows.

Michonne and Rick are out on a supply run this week. They get in some close/intimate time. Rick has a pretty close call but survives. Tara and Rosita are also out scavenging. They're looking for guns for the Scavengers. Father Gabriel joins the group in returning to the junkyard to hand over the stuff they've got. Rick asks Jadis to "Say Yes" (this is the title of the episode. Rosita makes a visit to Hilltop to try and enlist Sasha in a plan to attack Negan.

The following episode is pretty much Kingdom-centric. It sounds like a supply drop goes bad because of Richard, and both he and Ben (Morgan's stick apprentice) get off'd. It is thought that Morgan has to finish Ben off. There is also some thought that Morgan gives the news about Glenn and Abraham to Carol during this episode. That, paired with Ben's death, draw Carol out of her house and get her active in some way. It is also thought that the bad drop and fallout from it will spur Ezekiel to agree to join the fight against the Saviors.

Next up, Sasha and Rosita enact their plan to infiltrate the Sanctuary. They set a car on fire to lure some walkers. The attack and off a group of Saviors that are herding walkers into a storage container. Sasha ends up making it inside the sanctuary, but Rosita doesn't. It sounds like Sasha ends up getting caught, too. At some point, it sounds like Eugene gets a chance to leave during these events, but he doesn't. Daryl heads to Hilltop to visit Maggie on some unknown mission and he's there when Simon and co. show up to nab the other Dr. Carson. He and Maggie have to hide and are almost found but manage to stay hidden. Also in this episode, Jesus is gay.

In the following week's episode, we see Tara spill the beans about Oceanside. Rick and co. head there and end up taking their weapons cache by force (who are the good guys now?) It doesn't sound like they leave Oceanside on the best of terms, but they don't have to kill anyone to get the weapons. There's supposed to be some cool ocean walkers in this episode. Tara ends up giving some sort of speech to motivate everyone. Sasha is Negan's prisoner and someone ends up making an advance on her. It doesn't end well for that person.

In the season finale, gunfights, explosions, chaos. Negan gets word that Rick is rallying the troops, so he shows up at Alezandria with his own troops. Sasha and Eugene are with him, and word is that Sasha isn't alive. Rumor has it we get an Abraham flashback during Sasha's death sequence. The Kingdom is rallying the troops (including Carol) and departing for Alexandria. A firefight breaks out at Alexandria. Rosita hooks up the explosives somehow that they'll blow up Negan and Eugene. The Scavengers are on site and end up turncoating and firing on Alexandria alongside Negan's group. The Scavengers also sabotage Rosita's explosives, and Rosita is shot in the process. Rick also takes a bullet at some point, but neither he or Rosita's bullet wounds are fatal. Eugene urges Rick and co. to just surrender, apparently siding with the Saviors. At some point, there is a break in the action, and it appears Alexandria has fallen to the show of force. Negan gets Rick and Carl on their knees and is about to give Carl the Lucille treatment when the Kingdom arrives. I suppose we'll get a similar scene from the comics where Shiva joins the action, catching Negan off guard, causing the scene to once again plunge into chaos. Battle erupts again. Michonne is posted up on a tower taking sniping shots at the Scavengers, etc. The Hilltop troops arrive and Alexandria regains the upper hand with the additional reinforcements arriving. The Saviors and the Scavengers retreat. Victory speeches are given, but it is known that the war has only just begun. roll credits.

Well all the big picture stuff is like I thought.  Wouldn't have really guessed one part but.

I'm not saying 100% of that is legit. But I got it from a place that is usually pretty close, and these are people that hover around the filming locations, etc.

My guess was that the tipping point to get Carol back in the fray was Daryl getting killed.  If it doesn't play out like that, then I suppose cash is king

when and if Daryl goes out....it will be more like Jax Teller in SOA.

So how did Michonne get out of the trunk?

Most cars have a latch to fold the back seat down or to release the trunk if you happen to find yourself caught in there. Don't ask me how I know...

How terrible was the CGI deer? lol @ that garbage...

Decent episode, but it felt rushed at parts.

Rosita sure got to Hilltop fast.

Actually, I'm looking forward to this week's Kingdom-centric episode.

One of the best episodes this season imo, granted that's a pretty low bar.

I get that Rick is all about hanging with Michonne, eating food, banging and sleeping and what not....but damn how is he not more worried about the folks back in Alexandria?

The zombie in the windshield bit was pretty funny. I wish they did more stuff like that, add a little bit of levity while also showcasing some badass practical effects.

Some of the dialogue between Rick and Michonne was painful. It felt like I was watching the Tell Tale Walking Dead Game at times. Good thing most of the actors are very strong.

I commented about how he didn't give a poo about Judith... lol he's never even with her and she's left behind all the time.

I guess the fact that she's Shane's baby could play a part of it, but hell... he isn't even close with Carl anymore. Terrible.

    • True.  Sam and Baker did not do well here but went on to better things under better coaching, circumstances or both.  The real question is, ‘why aren’t the Panthers able to get improved performance out of ‘broken toys’, similar to Minnesota and Tampa? That is a rhetorical question.  I think we know the answer.   [The cultural reference to Pogo dates me, I admit.]
    • Did I mention that he was on worse teams?  Yes.  Do QBs alone win games?  No.  Did Cam, on a much better team with some awesome defenses ever have 2 consecutive winning seasons?  No.  So now you are cherry picking,  If the overall stats are similar, you take a look at him.   I told you that you look at his skill set---but you wanted to tell me that he sucks and mentioned performance.  I just presented performance--and his numbers are very similar to Cam Newton's numbers--a player most call the best Panther QB ever--and I agree.  By the way, Fumbles are evidence of how bad his OL has been--so you are saying that a QB in a situation worse than Cam's who has stats and physical abilities very similar to Cam's should not be given a look when you have Bryce Young at QB?  You are going with that story because you simply talked your way into a corner and now you are trying to save face.  No good GM would do what you suggest because "he sucks."  Sorry, but the facts do not support you.  But no matter what eye-opening details I provide, there are some who are going to go their Google machines to try to find some reason to support an ignorant approach to developing the QB position.  You ignored the similarities to Cam and went cherry picking.  I know what you are doing--but I am only suggesting (as I have stated before) that we bring him in as one of three approaches to resolving the QB issue. Compete with Bryce and draft a QB. Basically, I am suggesting that Jones has the potential to replace Dalton and compete with Young.  He is a battered stock that could get better in a better situation--that is human nature.  Instead, I am called a Daniel Jones lover and superfan.  That is good debate--But a real sign of mature thinking is the inability to LOGICALLY consider alternative perspectives--which is actually a characteristic of intelligence.  Just so you know, I critique and perform research in my job.  I am often amazed at how the numbers do not support my suppositions.  I learned that my impression is often wrong until I look at the data.  In this case, I have considered all the important variables and he should get a shot.  Numbers don't lie--and when you and others resort to twisted name calling directed toward the poster--it verifies my position.
    • I don’t get this, I know that is the popular thought process but I just don’t think it’s true.  For instance head to head last year the ACC had a winning record against the SEC.  The SEC had a losing record in bowl games. This year so far the head to head is 2-3 SEC and that’s with a fluke Vandy win in week one.  I see the ACC taking another head to head winning season after next week.  The SEC is mostly hype with 3 good teams, in my opinion.  But to say any ACC team would get exposed I believe is a stretch
