AMC is bowing to their sponsors by not airing it live on the network that way.

They are a subscription based cable network, so it would fly if they wanted it to. I think Breaking Bad was allowed like 1 F bomb per season. But they just don't want to be the non-premium cable network that just lets it fly like that.

Comedy Central and others kind of broke ground with the word "poo," and AMC followed. Even on CC's app, they drop the F bomb, but still bleep it on live airings.

Things are so stupid where this is concerned.  Movie ratings are just as bad. I think movies can have two F-bombs, a third gets you an R.  I am pretty sure there is something against even one MFer, it was really hard for them to get John McClain's line in the fourth Die Hard, they had him say it while shooting a guy to middle it or something stupid.  Showing breasts are a big no no too. 

Blood, guts, guns, etc though?  No problem

Only over-the-air network broadcasts are subject. It really is all about advertisers. That's why Comedy Central goes uncensored after like 10:00 I think.

Really?  I remember in the Sox first game after the Boston Marathon bombing David Ortiz had his "this is our fuking city" speech and the FCC (surprisingly) came out and said they had no problem with it. 

I guess it was a FOX game maybe

Nah, he is. Ever heard the guy give an interview with no censorship? It's one of his favorite words in real life. I think it just seems somewhat awkward because of how little cussing in general the walking dead has. That one scene had more fugs than most shows that allow for strong language anyway.

Tv shows actually play both sides on the fcc thing. They go ok we will dub out or edit an f bomb and get good ratings and make money off ads and i guess you will just have to buy the dvd to hear the f word. Woe is me.

Maybe they didn't film that scene as many times. It came across as wooden and forced to me.

That episode was embarrassingly awful in just about every way it could be.
