So Olivia ain't about to get got?  I'll take that bet.  One billion huddle cool points up for grabs.

Does Rick witness Negan gutting Spencer?

No. He is helping Aaron to his house when they hear the shot from Rosita's gun ring out. By the time Rick gets to the pool table Spencer and Olivia are both dead.

well, you never know with the leaks if that is what goes down but she is going to get got.  Too much TV time for a nobody.  Trying to make us care about a death we don't.

Only reason I won't be terribly upset Negan continues to give passes to our core group and unleash on everyone else instead....is there aren't tons of attractive women on TWD and I kinda dig Rosita (not as a good character but there has to be a couple semi attractive women)

Its funny really....

This thread brings me more quality entertainment each week than the show does.  I think I'm still watching just so I can keep up with the criticisms and PSCs subsequent attempts to convince us of the notion that he is the sole arbiter of quality entertainment.

Finally watched the episode, I feel like I would have enjoyed it a lot more if Carl was not so horrible.  Every attempt to act badass was just sad which only made Negan's repeated comments about him being a badass comical.

Nogan's little monologues still make me roll my eyes but it was the first episode where I occasionally liked the character.

I am glad that they did not spend the whole time on Negan/Carl and actually showed other storylines.  They really need to do that more because it makes for a better show.

Looking forward to seeing the Kingdom storyline next week, what little we saw of them has been my favorite group from this season by far.

I just wish everyone would read the comics so they'd have some legitimate gripes instead of parroting neckbeards from reddit.

One of my favorite films is Goregasm, something so awful that you probably couldn't make it halfway through the film. And when I say awful, I mean in every single way possible.

So I'm not sure where you get this "sole arbiter" poo from.

Oh the little boy is still playing with his fisher price my first laptop again.

And still your gaping hole oozes of bitterness over one comment towards someone else and like a condom machine from a truck stop, you can't let it go.

The source material is 9th grade quality and the art work would make a Montessori teacher chuckle.

You personally have killed this show for me and i will spend my new found hour on Sundays reading missed connections from West Virginia and see how many of your posts there i can recognize.

Tell the guys in the gym hi.

My god some of you are sensitive.

Anyway, good midseason finale. Wrapped up the first half nicely, good transition for February.

I hated how they addressed Rick deciding to fight on Talking Dead. They said Michonne talked Rick into it, but I don't think that. I think it was a slow realization. Once Rick was on the boat with the guns, I felt like his wheels were turning. His conversation with Aaron while they were loading the truck seemed to me like he wanted Aaron to almost talk him into staying the course with the Saviors because he still feels like they should stand up and fight. Then seeing Aaron be beaten up when they came back just pushed it more. Then once Negan told him about Carl ambushing him and Rosita taking her shot, you could see it in his eyes. The thought of "poo, my people really don't want to take this". Plus knowing where Michonne stood, and where Maggie stood....I just feel like Rick got to his decision to fight on his own. Having him have to get talked into it takes away. Though that monologue was nice.

Daryl's reunion was awesome. poo will go down hard. I'm stoked. Felt like this episode was a bigger payoff than most will realize.

Hopefully they make some staff changes...

that might of been the best episode of the season but I still wouldn't call it good.

They basically took a half season to milk the point that our group will want to fight Negan (something we already knew the moment of the head bashings) rehashing the exact same points over and over in too long of episodes.

writing just remains poor.  Every NON comic reader knew exactly what was going to happen this season.  There is literally zero mystery to their story.  Pointless long episode after episode.  Then when they actually have something like Daryl's escape people might be interested in he LITERALLY escapes in 1 minute if you exclude the time he ate peanut butter.

here is the 2nd half summed up

painfully slow episodes next half convincing the Kingdom to fight

slowly convincing the Oceanside camp to join the fight

The mystery boots? Basically a mid-level bad guy boss who shows up and our group has to deal with his shenanigans.  Because we can't just jump to war and need to milk the plot as that can't start until the finale.

Finale arrives and war starts and either Rick or Negan gets a potential kill shot at the end and we get a cliffhanger of did one of them get got. Tune in next season

The Rosita scene was horriblly done.  Of course the miracle bat eats the bullet from 10 ft away.  Not sure why they even broke for commmercial, no one thought that bullet would do anything. Of course he immediately figured out they make their ammo because of that shot.  Makes total sense Negan is a ballistics expert and immediately after almost being killed his first thought was to inspect a shell casing.

I don't care what anyone says, Negan is the only reason this first half has been watchable.   He's hilarious but has a method to his madness (whether good or not).   When he said "And I fed him spaghetti" I lol'd.

Still slow episodes but these aren't as bad as previous seasons and they are at least building up the story with Negan invading their lives and continuously killing people.  It's not like they have Rick sitting around a campfire with someone discussing "how things are now" for 4 shows, things are happening.   They are clearing out the herd of unneeded characters too, which is always nice.

The houseboat was a cool scene though, something I long wondered why others weren't doing (although maybe in a larger lake/pond though).  I like episodes where they just encounter weird stuff like that.

Anyway the dude with boots, imo, is Dwight.  He was missing from this episode.   He wasn't really at the Saviors place and he wasn't at Alexandria.    He's scoping things out, for reasons of his own.

I LOL'd at Negan being a ballistic expert immediately as well though.  I guess you could make a case that he's been around a LOT of ammo since the world fell and had access to things a normal person in a normal world wouldn't have.   Negan IS super smart, regardless of anything else, no one can run his setup without being sharp.

Can Carl please, please, cut that hair, for the love of everything.

Also that last scene, the montage of showing everyone in the reunion was too cheesy lol, looked like a 90's intro to a sitcom just needed the "Family Matters" song and the Winslows.

The ending montage was horrible, with Daryl and Rick grinding on each other, the meaningful looks and nods, and the group walking up the hill in a "show of solidarity".

Other than that, the episode was great. But Rosita can't act.

Spencer however, did an amazing job in his scene with Negan. Can't give that guy enough credit.
