TWD Season 7

true, there ain't much use for slow game these days.  I can't even watch a game 7 of the World Series.

IMO the issue is the show tries to get away from the comic just enough to claim there is a difference and then tries to get to navigate back to the comic story from wherever they attempted on their on.  Either follow the comics or go your own way.  I doubt you really care that instead of Rick using the bathroom they switched it up and surprised you with Eugene (SURPRISE!).

But then I heard the TV has claimed they are trying to correct things the comic wished it did or didn't do.  Which IMO is hogwash.  If that was the case, Abraham blows that out of the water.

nah I can get that they are trying to fix things from the comics... For the most part, they are successful when they do. It is when they try to change good things from the comics where they mess up.

Abraham died Denise's death in the comics... just a random arrow while he and Eugene are out scavenging/scouting. It was kind of dumb to off him like that, as he was a main character at that point.  From my understanding, readers (and Kirkman) thought it was a waste. The show did him better justice as a character.

Tyreese was an example of when they did it wrong on the show IMHO. Show Tyreese was totally tame and lame. Comic Tyreese was badass.

Since we're well past it, I can tell you that Carol has been a grey area for me on the show. In the comics, she kills herself after being mentally broken because of rejection from Tyreese. Sophia is still alive, so I thought when she died on the show, it was going to be her breaking point. In the show, thy never really had her and Tyreese in the relationship, and have chosen to make her character a lot stronger and more of a presence in the group. That's why I wonder where they are going with her current inner conflict.

Another place Kirkman messed up in the comics was cutting off Rick's hand. I've read that he regretted that, and I can see why. The show didn't go there, and rightfully so.

Judith is another point in which the show got it wrong IMHO. They should have just killed her when she died in the comics (with Lori because of the Governor.) Instead, for whatever reason, they let her live and basically gave us a couple episodes of "hey the Governor isn't such a bad guy, guys!" The only reason to keep Judith around is so they can use her from time to time as a "feel good" mechanism for all the babies watching that don't want to admit the liability of, and difficulty in providing for, a baby in the apocalypse.

All that said, the show has done a good job, especially lately, of fixing bad stuff from the comics and sticking to the source material. Where the debate comes in is still because some of us don't know both sources, and are reacting solely based on the show.

I thought he bluntly said he regretted killing Abe before this upcoming war.

So Abe IMO was mostly used as sike outs from major deaths to mix it up..not correcting regrets. I think that is BS.  Plus, he isn't going to let the TV show go where goes ultimately.  He knows the show will catch him and the show won't go down his road because they have said that much

Judith IMO has now stumbled into a TV safe zone.  They likely can't touch her.  Maybe someone could take her but they can't off her at this point IMO.

My only beef is the comic source is really irrelevant when judging the TV show.   TV show should be purely judged with how it comes off on TV.

You have no idea what you're talking about, because you probably spend most of the show with your face in your phone complaining about things you're not paying attention to.

What relative works on the show man? You aunts 2nd husbands nephew a key grip or you went to school with a writer?

I get it. You cuddle with the comic each night in your han solo snuggie.

You are one extremely sensitive person on this subject.

I have watched in detail since day 1 and if you can't handle some very mild and pedestrian opinions of the show then it may be time to finally  switch to decaf.

I purposely avoid really splitting hairs over details  and oblique anachronisms. I avoid over analysis of plot or time line holes or what evs. I try to to enjoy it on its face and look the other way but dude. Relax.

Ratings are falling, TWD is going to continue to see that largely from excessive milking out this stretch of what should be a good arc.  But just because you have good source material doesn't mean you can't flub up.

they will re-evaluate after this season and realize Negan has to get got next year.  He isn't even the most badass Savior.  That is a problem and one they can't fix this year as his character for this season is pretty much already in stone.

Negan is an integral figure in the Whisperer War, and pretty much a major catalyst for that conflict. I'm not sure who I see taking his place, if they decide to take it that far.

I hope they do. Should be fun to see Beta.
