TWD Season 7

Meh, I totally get what they are setting up but chalk this episode up overall as another let down.  TWD world is getting too big and now they are basically just giving us filler episodes.  Yes, technically the episodes are slowly telling a story of exactly what we know is going to happen...so some likely argue that isn't filler.

I do have one positive.  I have gone on record of what a totally unimpressive character Negan is thus far (vs the hype) but you know who needs more screen time? Simon.  Simon rules. Well done on that.  Simon is the best TWD character introduced in the last 3 seasons IMO

It is the actor.

I don't expect him to be around much longer, as he is an incredibly busy man. He's in damn near everything that comes our, lol. I would be surprised if he didn't turn up in GoT at this point.

But TBQH, Negan is the best thing that has happened to this show since probably season 1 or two.

Simon is great (has been from the get go).   Probably would improve the TV Negan if he just stayed home and quiet and sent Simon out from now on.  Simon's little speeches just come across better.

The crowd is going to be thinned really soon.

I'm not sure what Carol couldn't do on the show that Michonne does in the comics.  This what I see happening:

  Spoiler Alert!

Carol and Zeke hook up, but when Morgan dies at the end of season 7, Carol will leave Zeke for the oceans.

TV show has invested more into Carol than probably any other character.  I don't know the full arc of what comic Michonne did....but they have set Carol up where she literally could be thrust into almost any role they need from her and it should work.

I just feel like they have made a point to show Carol is losing her sanity and sense of trying to be a mother to the group. I don't think that bodes well for her in the future, but maybe they will redeem her.

They've also set her up to run away when she starts to have feels.

They have also set her up IMO to flip her switch back (TV show loves switch flipping IMO with Rick and her) to Super Woman IMO when she finds out about Glenn, Abe and now Daryl.

I don't see Carol going off meekly into the night when it comes down to it

I enjoyed the episode last night even though it was mostly plot development, the Carl/Jesus dynamic could be interesting - Carl hasn't had much time with revenge minded hippies lately

My guess on what happens with that

My guess on how that all duo plays out

1.  Carl goes super hero once they arrive

2.  Jesus warns Carl but Carl is going to Carl

3.  Carl finds a gun and treats Negan like that dartboard

4. Jesus goes back and tells Rick Carl has been taken

5.  Rick turns back into Liam Neeson and is now ready

sorry dont want spoilers I hope its good

it wasn't a spoiler.  it was my guess on what happens the duo going forward.  Pure speculation.

I don't read the comics but figured some don't like too much predicting.  I know some comic basics but hope the TV ad libs on it now that they have Negan.

i'm enjoying this season but i miss when this show was about being survivalists and traveling around fighting off zombies. it lost a lot of what i loved about the show when they moved into the suburbs.

yeah, show has always been at it's best IMO when they have been on the go in search of real salvation...

once they settle down, I agree....it no longer really is about the zombie apocalypse.
