It works long as you have the other TE that can block and catch decently. Chiefs also uses it with only 1 really good TE.

Hence, why we've been trying to get another young TE to.compliment Olsen, more than Ed Dickson. 

Guess the Patriots aren't tte only team that knows the value of the 2 TE.

You don't need hindsight for that , just look at the personnel and the philosophy of your team and it was easy call to draft Henry. DG emphasizes the DTs  2 much.

Ehh I don't blame DG for picking up BPA, especially if Short walks. But we could use a TE who can block better than Olsen and catch and run routes better than Dickson/Simonson

God forbid what if lost Olsen to Injury then what.  DG should focus on having a balanced team, if Short walks then you address the DT in that years draft , but the way it seems like DG made up his mind on letting him walk.

BPA is largely a farse when it comes to draft time.

GMs draft on need and preference more than anything.   There is no universal BPA board.  Every team's BPA is dictated by need and preference

2 TE sets are magical when properly implemented.  You have to have 2 very special guys to pull it off.  Had we drafted Henry, that could have been a possibility but I don't think I'd really trust Shula to implement it effectively.
