What kind of a record would make Richardson pull the trigger?

Its beyond that! Fox has this team in a complacent mindframe. They always talk the same jib jab year in year out about the defense getting simplified and then we having learning curves(simplified hhhmmm). The on offense we have all the talent in the world and have yet to get the heir to delhomme ready. If we had that we could ****** him instead of hoping moore is the one. We need to bring a mental toughness and better coaching. Im not saying Fox isn't a good coach. We just need to switch the mannerism around here. This whole it is what it is has got the whole team laligaging. Thats why when I hear about Cowher it makes sense. Bring the team an identity(we still don't have one).

No one's happy with two losses. If people who aren't calling for an immediate firing are "pathetic" it's more than within bounds to call those reactionary blowhards doing so quitters. I waited way too long for this season to worry about next season.

yeah, I see what you're saying... if one is bad, then so is the other...

Instead of people resorting to names on either side, I think it's safe to say, the excuses are coming to a close...

When looking at situations, I usually judge by the past. When you have 17 injuries in a season and pull out 7-9 like in '04, then I'm going to say that it's much more possible for it to occur this year under these circumstances . Will it happen? who knows... Why would someone think so? Because Fox, although he struggles to stay consistent, seems to do a good job of getting a team to finish somewhere around .500....

This looks to be the worst team we've had since 2001. We're sadly not going to sniff .500 this year. And even if we did, finishing at .500 with the same team that went 12-4 last year will not be an impressive accomplishment. It will be a massive failure. But again, I'm not sure if this team reaches five wins this season.

it means some of y'all forget how terrible it is to have 10, 12, 15 loss seasons and think it's kinda nice that Fox teams don't quit when they need to pick it up.

Hopefully, they don't trap themselves and give up. Hopefully they pick it up before it's realistically time to worry about an action. Because it's not realistic to worry about it now.

7-9 is a failure, not a success. The clock is ticking for guys like #89 and Moose and, sadly and literally, Jerry Richardson to win a championship. Yet another losing year under John Fox at this stage (following a 12-4 season with the same team) is simply inexcusable.

7-9 isn't 4-12. 7-9 isn't 1-15. And finishing the year 7-9 when you're 4-6 is a very big deal - every year we've finished strong in a down year, we've carried that over into future success.

But if you want to equate 7-9 to 4-12, be my guest. Looks like you're done with the team for the year anyway.

I don't remember winning a Super Bowl.

A losing record is a losing record PERIOD! Having the best possible losing record every other year is not success. Its failure! PERIOD!

so if we don't win a championship, we might as well lose every game?

Y'all have no idea how to win a championship, then. You have to build on things to win, you don't just win overnight.

Going to the playoffs 3 out of 7 years is mediocre success.

that's exactly the same as that stretch from 97-02 where we didn't go at all, then. Right? I mean no Super Bowl rings, so if they're not a lock, they should just tank. Why not?

Yes, I'm sure the Eagles consider the four division championships and two NFC Championship games to be good years.

Since almost no one goes to the playoffs that many times in a row, I'm sure they're not ashamed to have gotten close that many times. It's always a goal every year, but in case you've missed it almost no one goes to the playoffs twice in a row and about 1/3 of the league would've loved to have gotten in once in the 7 years we got there three times.

Maybe we shouldn't bother getting to the playoffs until we know we can win a Super Bowl uncontested, at this same logic. There's a big difference between having high expectations and having unrealistic expectations.
