While we continue to suck, and make no moves. Packers suck, and trade for Knile Davis.

Davis has been in the league for three years and doesn't even have 1,000 career yards to his name. Also, his career average is 3.3 ypc. He's a JAG compared to Charles.

He is no Charles.  But like I said, you have to acknowledge how he has been used.  Only once in his career has he been asked to be the main RB (2014).  Davis, West, and Ware have all be called upon to be "Charles"....and in those games they have all basically done it.

When Davis is in his standard role he isn't put in position to make big runs/production.  Too much talent on the roster ahead of him

When he was thrust into the starting spot in 2014.  He made plays.

Trade what?

we are 1-5, so trade what and why?

If we had managed to be 3-3 or 2-4 even then maybe but our season is finished so why trade unless we get more draft picks for next year.

For that what would we trade? Our linebackers? Hell no,... defensive tackles?

maybe trade Kawann Short? For what and can we draft to help from it? Probably not.

Stewart? Again for what?

Derek Anderson? Hummm but for what?

again trade for what?

Sorry but that does nothing to convince me of anything other than their offensive line is above average

well, they are...but we are decent between the tackles.  Which is where you send power runners.

I ask myself this question.  Is Davis potentially better than Tolbert and company running between the tackles?  My answer is yes, so that adds valuable depth behind Stewart.  O never functions well without those plays.

Olsen? Gettleman now has 4 TE on roster for some bizarre reason

There was literally no mention of Knile Davis on this board until his name came up in a trade today

eh, I have been talking about finding a power runner since this past offseason.  Didn't need to be a stud.  There are tons of them on teams not in heavy use.  Again, not a Stewart caliber RB but just a guy who can grind between the tackles.   It will remain an issue every time Stewart can't suit up.  Helps the OTs and Cam out even if it is a 3 yarder.

hopefully to block for Stewart

Plus Ron even said he felt we were shorthanded at TE even when we had three, so he obviously views four as ideal. Last week we only had two and were forced to line up Chris Scott at TE at times. I get being upset at cutting Edwards, but not so much at signing Simonson.
