He got a lot of interceptions. During the post draft presser Dave said if they don't get picks in college they won't do it in the NFL. True.

What's also true is that if you get burnt in college, you'll definately get burnt in the NFL.

 

He was never meant to be playing outside. He may be a decent nickel still.

He didn't even get one hand on him to slow cooks down just a little bit to try and keep up. He simply gave up once he knew cooks was gonna blow by.

They have enough sense to not triple up on cornerback in the draft ignoring other glaring positions of need. As well as not signing Josh Norman... Biggest mistake of this entire franchise. Rookie DB, fast and skilled WR and frikkin' Drew Brees passing (probably one of the top 5 QBs of this generation). Yeah, that was going to happen at least once yesterday.

Our DBs will get better. There's plenty of room for improvement. We've got to remember that Josh Norman was pretty bad his first couple of years and got burned a lot. Heck, even the experienced greats get burned badly.

i use to complain about giving up short passes but hey ill take those short passes over these bombs everyday its such a a success rate for a qb to throw deep on us i say 80 % of the time they will complete it

Of course he did. The issue is how we got to the point where a 5th round rookie that got cut is having a battle against Brandin Cooks and Drew Brees. There were a couple injuries, yes, but the main reason is terrible personnel management.
