This year we dont have 11 guys on both sides of the ball who are even starter material let alone the depth to handle any injuries.

I'll maybe give you this on Defense as our DB situation is a disaster and we have no Dline depth beyond the front 4, most of whom aren't playing well.

But we certainly have a starting-caliber 11 players on offense.  We returned our entire Super Bowl offense minus Cotchery and added KB.  So, on offense, talent is not the problem. Sure we're weaker than I'd like at OT, but so are many teams, and it seemed like we knew how to work around that weakness.

I would however agree that we have no Oline depth and that not enough was done to bring in Oline depth or create competition in the offseason.  We may also have been over-confident about J-Stew's health and over-depending on CAP.  CAP is ok, but he's not Stew and our offense is heavily dependent on Stew's style.

well are a top 10 offense in just about every aspect

Rivera has shown if you give him starting caliber players....he will give you a top 10 defense too.

so it all goes back to bodies, Gettlemen didn't give Rivera ones on D

I would argue that Remmers is not a starting quality right tackle and many folks questioned whether Oher is either.  You could also argue that Tolbert is not a starting quality fullback anymore and really there is a question about whether we have a tight end other than Olsen who is starting quality either.  So no there is surely an argument to make that we dont have 11 bonafide starters on either side of the ball.

So everyone saw Bradberry going down with turf toe, Bene being out of shape and cut because he reacted poorly to coaching, McClain pulling a hammy and Worley going out with a concussion?

Wow, that's pretty insightful.

How many teams could be effective in pass coverage with their 4th and 5th string DB's on the road against the likes of Julio Jones and Drew Brees?

Bradberry looked like garbage against Julio before he was pulled from the game with apparently turf toe. It was not that bad as he came back in the game later in the 4th quarter.

Worley got whooped most of his plays against the Falcons and Saints.

Bene was focused on getting back to form from his injury at the nickel. He has never been great on the outside. What the coaches did to him by putting him on Julio was dirty, and self serving only to protect the precious rookies. Worley or McClain should have been left on Julio to get his butt beat up and down the field. Maybe he will learn a lesson or crumble and never play another meaningful down in the NFL.

Bene should have been left in the nickel for most if not all of this season. Otherwise, put him on the PUP list like they did Leonard Johnson.

If you are hoping for the rookie DBs to show up in the next few years, it will be a very painful journey. I do not believe any of them will pan out in the NFL as starters, and Bradberry is the only one that may have a journeyman career.

I think Bradberry has the potential and has shown flashes here and there. I think he'll be a solid starter in a few years. I agree with you on Worley and especially Sanchez. I don't see them really lasting. Sanchez shouldn't be on a roster now. I hope I'm wrong and they pan out, though.
