I actually had to google this.  I was certain we broke this curse by going 12-4 and then 15-1.  Somehow the 7-8-1 season in between had been wiped from my memory.

It's because we won the division still. Think about that: back to back to back division champions, no back to back winning seasons.

These types of threads go hand in hand with the "sit down and be quiet" typeo f wine and cheese bullshit at the stadium btw. OP is probably one of those who say it at the game...doubt he goes to the games though but if he did he woudl be like that.
