You're a fuging moron, lmao. You really think the Saints were going to let the clock run out with :20 left in the game without calling a timeout? Or do you actually believe icing the kicker works just because our kicker sucks ass? Let the Saints gather themselves? They were going to attempt a FG. The only thing saving the TO does is let you ice the kicker with :03 left, which is what Payton lets it run down to if you don't take a timeout.

Ron didn't even give them a chance to call a timeout, he did it for Payton you IDIOT

Reread your own comment. Our timeout should have been used to freeze the kicker, not stop the clock. Ron instead stops the clock, which means he couldn't freeze the kicker. You can't call back to back timeouts. UH DERP for arguing and agreeing with me at the same damn time

Lol what? What were they doing?

You have 11 seconds and a timeout. Take the free 15 yards and throw a hail mary on a defense that tackles your players every time they go deep.

Idk who it is on this roster that doesn't understand situational football, but it's gone on long enough. Cam, Shula, Rivera. Whomever.

You just cost yourself an opportunity.

What free 15 yards?

Do you have zero reading comprehension? You're a complete fuging moron.

He didn't do it for Payton he did it so we'd have like a 1% chance if Lutz makes the FG. If Rivera doesnt call the timeout, the Saints let the clock run to 3 seconds, then kick the FG and we lose, with no chance at a return or a hail mary.

If you honestly think the Saints would have let the clock run out with two fuging timeouts, then you're even stupider than most.

Just cant believe how this has played out.  Coming out against Denver you think well everything is fine.  This thing has just snowballed the same way the wins snowballed last year.

Graham Gano can go jump in a lake as well. He makes that FG I truly believe our season plays out differently.

Certainly still not anywhere close to a SB contender with our defense though.

When new Orleans lined up with literally most of the players on the field sitting at the goal line, 31 other teams would have taken the easy pass to put themselves in position for a hail mary

What the hell is wrong with? Like seriously

We're not going to win with 10 sec at our own 30

The saints are going to kick a FG, that's established. You have a timeout, that timeout needs to be used to freeze the kicker. The timeout should not be used to stop the clock. What part do you not understand?

Its like alll the calls went our way last year, guess the ref fugery would have been obvious after he called out Hochuli, so they wait until the Superbowl and this year to fug us.

Brees legs get hit, roughing the passer. Cam's legs get hit, and because he's so big the safety bounced off and had to hang on by his arms it's "he wrapped with his arms, no foul". I called it at the beginning of the game, this crew is notorious for inconsistency and picked up flags.

I also knew it was going to come down to a 50+ yarder that their kicker would make. Gano doesn't miss as often as other scrub kickers, but he is good for atleast one miss a game when it really counts.

Then you have wtf moments like putting Shaq on Coleman with plenty of field for him to display his speed, then put tiny rookie Sanchez on the bigger TE Fleener at the 1 yard line, Sanchez plays the ball instead of the receiver and knocks it loose before they hit the ground it'd not a TD. It's almost like the coaches don't want us to win.

Then you throw in the line not getting any pressure, they can't keep our LB's clean so we get gashed in the run game and can't expect our DB's to cover in man for more than 2 seconds and our soft ass zone coverage is allowing the opponents to consistently move the chains 3-5 yards for multiple 1st downs in the pass game.

Even when the OL manages to give Cam more than 2 seconds to pass the ball, the receivers always drop the ball or cause tip interceptions at the worst times. Greg Olsen is about the only consistent bright spot about the O. Even if they get in a rhythm and start scoring the D can't stop the other team from scoring.

And that is the 2016 Panthers season in a single post.

Im so confused. It was New Orleans who decided not to go for it, not Carolina. The Saints called a timeout and rethought their strategy.
