Wes had always been a good role player for us. Never a starter, but always there when we needed him. Good run stuffer and man, do we ever need that.

Superb Owl here we come!  I get what they do here, although frustrating as hell for players to be signed, wavied, resigned, wavied, etc., but logically they are thinking we don't have to teach this player the scheme in mid week.  He is very familiar with our defense.  I think as fans we just see the same old faces being resigned with no positive production..

Nothing against Horton but how are we trying to improve by resigning guys that has been on the team before?

And Byrd who's been given no chance is waived for a guy who at best is rotationally average. I'd rather see Ginn cut play Byrd and release a guy like Bersin to accommodate a replacement move. Same moves no change it's getting boring.

Not anything close to a game changer, but he's a good rotational player in our system.

Why wasn't he picked up by anybody else? Why is he still available if he's so highly sought after?

Thought they would promote Crume from the practice squad and fill that spot with Byrd. Now I wonder if Young gets promoted, though I'm not sure who they'd cut. Norris I guess?
