Byrd waived

If your team is 1-4 and you are what the sixth or seventh WR available and you still can't make the field, you can pretty much expect to get cut.

It isn't Byrd, it's the needs of the team. WR just isn't something we need desperately now and KR/PR isn't going very well, but it isn't what is costing us games. Getting cut like this is no knock on Byrd, but just a matter of doing business. We've got plenty of lil fast dudes, tall catching dudes. What we don't have are great big, tall strong dudes who can either block or sack a QB.

Now had Byrd started training with the DBs...

Bruh, none of the moves this year made sense. Letting Cotchery and Harper go, rescinding the Norman tag, not getting ANY pass rush help via FA or draft, drafting a fuggin DT with the 1st round pick when that was our deepest position sans LB, cutting Sanchez only to fuggin sign him again to start just last week. Cutting our ONLY CB with experience in Bene when we literally have zero depth behind him, not cutting Tolbert fat worthless ass and bringing in new RB talent (cause we KNEW Stew could not stay healthy), wasting our whole draft on CB's that could have ALL been had a round later, not even addressing our OT situation after witnessing the destruction that was the superbowl, keeping Bersin (a JAG at BEST) and letting go a potential Ginn replacement next year. still having Ginn starting in the #2 slot and not Funchess, and I could go on and on.

I should have known last year was too good to be true. I had a feeling before this offseason that we would return to the typical Panthers, but I just didn't want to believe this time. I wanted to believe we actually turned the corner as a franchise and would finally have back to back winning seasons for the 1st time. And then complacency and ego reared it's ugly head and now we are back to square fuggin one. Ugh, life as a Panther tbh. Oh well, Go Panthers?!
