Just how bad was that end zone pick by DA?

I kinda understood the call. A run was obvious so being contrarian with a pass play may get someone wide open. It didn't. Fair enough. Throw it away and play the next down.

Derek throwing the ball as though he intended to do it regardless of coverage is a mistake a rookie would've made. To see it from a veteran is baffling. In this case, this is mainly on the quarterback.

That's a big gamble just to surprise them, as if CAP had been struggling all game.

It's damn Shula!!!  I sat on my couch telling my GF, watch them throw the damn ball. They did.

Shula runs the damn ball when Defense goes 10 men in the box. Then choose to throw last night when they didn't stack the box. Fuggn genius!

So why didnt DA throw a pass to KB who was lined up in single coverage against a guy 6 inches shorter instead of throwing to Olsen who they were obviously doubling.  I sure the coaches told him to do that??   It wasnt the pass call, it was not throwing it away from he was double covered.  Most any other quarterback throws it away and it is only 2nd down.  We had 3 plays to over 1 yard, there was no reason to force the pass.  That isnt on Shula that is all on Anderson.

Why the hell didn't we just run the damn ball when the defense showed they were not stacking the damn box

Another good question.  Maybe we got stuffed twice on third and 1 earlier in the game?  I surely would have thrown the ball away on first down and ran it on second down and if that disnt work, throw it to KB on third down.  At least I would have gotten 3 points out of the drive no matter what.

Yea we got stuffed twice on 3rd and 1 bc they stacked the box both times and Shula still chose to run it.

Its 1st and goal, defense was in coverage and he chose to pass the ball.

Shula is so predictable.

Again that was one play call and didnt cause the problem.  Stop blaming the wrong person.  DA threw into double coverage on a rollout which by nature forces the defenders into a close space.  You try and caught them off guard and if they dont bite you throw it away and try again next play.  I would have liked to see him run it as well but saying it was Shula ignores the elephant in the room, It was first down not third down.
